Seth and Nicki (and everyone!) at Rideau made our last-minute stop there one of our favorite memories on our recent trip to California from Maine. We did the Reserve tasting and enjoyed not only the wine, but Seth's explanations and descriptions of how each was made. We stayed for lunch, had some delicious flatbread, and got a great recommendation list... More

There is a heavy French, NOLA influence here. Great food, wine atmosphere and patio. One of the more enjoyable wineries we visited.

Travel out through the vineyards to this large "house" like tasting room, with its beautiful grounds. There are nice old trees (and shaded areas to sit), many flowers, and then the French decorations once inside. The first part of the house is the older (but great looking I thought) and then the large tasting area has been added on, with... More

Rideau Winery and Vineyard is worth a trip to the Santa Ynez Valley from anywhere around the world, including we locals from the Central Coast. Owner and entrepreneur extraordinaire Iris Rideau has ensured a first class experience for any visitor. Her attention to detail is noticeable and appreciated. From her highly trained staff to her gold medal wines, a visit... More

Not too sure about a vineyard tour around the area so checked places nearby and found this. So glad we did! The house itself is beautiful. Lovingly renovated and adhering to historical codes. Our Irish guide, Shay, is full of relevant information and approachable. We got the tour with the small hor d' ouvres. Great value considering you're getting a... More

We have been coming here for some years now. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff and good wine. They offer picnic areas on the grass with shade from beautiful old oak trees as well as wine barrel tables with umbrellas and chairs. Indoor seating is available as well. Several times we have enjoyed the free band playing along with nice variety of... More

Visited on a quiet Wednesday afternoon and enjoyed a lovely tasting, the winemaker even stopped in for a quick chat. I introduced my friend to the wines, she had never been here despite living in Buellton! She's already made plans to bring her husband for a relaxing tasting and picnic on the beautiful patio or lawn chairs. The wines are... More

We spent a Monday afternoon exploring Solvang, including a stop at Rideau Vineyard! We received excellent service from the tasting room staff and enjoyed our tasting, which included 6 red and white varieties (3 of each) for $12. They also have red and white blends on tap and a carafe is just $15 - a bargain! The house itself is... More

We stopped here and Seth poured us each a glass from their reserve; a white wine with a nice price @ $5 per glass. We ordered a flatbread Margherita pizza. We ate on picnic tables underneath shady oak trees. Old roses in many colors in spring are just unbelievable. My camera did not do them justice. What a fragrance. We... More

My boyfriend found this winery / vineyard through google reviews while we were visiting Santa Ynez. We decided to visit Rideau because of the positive ratings and it was situated on an actual vineyard—not just a tasting room in town. Although the decor is a bit New Orleans kitsch, we found it to have the best wine, most pleasant grounds... More
