If you love magik, believe in all things mystical and love playing dress up. This is for you! My girls had a wonderful time! There were craft booths with everything from pixie dust to raccoon tails. A gnome telling stories, knights in armor and fairie hunters. Sword dancing and plays.

The Solvang Festival Theater is a charming Danish inspired 700 seat non profit outdoor amphitheater, that show cases plays, musicals, and well known performing artists from June - October. I was lucky enough to see "In the Heights" the 2008 Tony Award Winning Musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Alexander Hamilton) the musical was performed by the PCPA (Pacific Conservatory of the... More

The Solvang Festival Theater is a wonderful gift to this community. In partnership with PCPA, they put on plays all through out the summer. The theater is intimate and in a beautiful setting. The Acting is superb and very entertaining. They have a variety of different plays for different audiences so check out the season's schedule. Come early and enjoy... More

Perfect way to complete your trip to Solvang; by sitting out under the stars and watching live theatre. Every seat is great. Towards fall, make sure to bring a jacket and gloves; as Solvang evenings can get chilly. Also, you can rent seat cushions and blankets for a nominal fee at the bottom of the steps which lead into the... More

The PCPA always has excellent performances. We have been to theaters all over the world and PCPA never fails to provide top notch performance. This festival theatre is outdoors and can be cold. You need to bring blankets and jackets. They do rent pillows and blankets. You can also buy a dinner or bring your own and eat on the... More

My husband and I first visited the Solvang Festival Theater in 2015 (despite having visited Solvang many times in the past). We saw a poster in a local shop window advertising a performance of Man of La Mancha and bought tickets later that evening at the box office. The show, put on by the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts... More

Solvang, CA in and of itself is such a beautiful place to visit, shop, eat and stay overnight in, but if you really want to venture into another opportunity for fun and new experiences you HAVE to go to a Show at the Solvang Festival Theater. I have been there twice and let me tell you, BOTH times it was... More

Bring a blanket because it does get cold while you sit under the stars watching good theater. Acting is always good, sets are creative. A gem of a theater and great selections.

A fun experience. The repertory company has talented actors who offer good community theater and a nice variety of shows. Just be sure to bring coats, blankets and hats as it can get very cold even in the summer. There are no bad seats in this theater.

A charming open-air venue, Solvang Festival Theater offers a variety of entertainment. Shows vary from PCPA productions to live musical performances, often by well known artists. Seating is a bit tight, but the small size of the theater means that everyone is close to the stage. This closeness allows a lot of interaction between the performers and the audience. There...
