We arrived about fifteen minutes before our tasting and it was apparent the greeter was having a bad day. “Tasting scheduled for 2:00? I’ll see you at 2:00!!” Shewed us away. We were a little thrown off but returned at 2:00 for a great experience. Spencer was great! He actually saved someone who was experiencing heat stroke and never left us hanging. He came back to guests greeting him with appreciation as he continued to pour sparkling sips for our tasting. He was kind, provided detail with every sip and shared CA information to help with our stay. Big props to Spencer. We made new friends at the other tasting station as we looked over an amazing view. The sparkling wine was great and we’ll be back. The disappointing factor was the inability to give a tip via debit card. The website said no cash so we assumed we would be able to leave gratuity via debit card, nope! Not the case. No tip. We feel awful. Please bring cash and tip the amazing staff!!

We arrived for our tasting on a 105 degree day. Iron House had suspended tasting at the pavilion because the area was hot and airless. We tasted standing in a shaded area next to the winery overlooking the vineyard with a slight breeze. Carl, our bubbly guide, was knowledgeable and funny. The bubbly sat in ice tubs and poured ice cold cold. Definitely hit the spot on a sweltering day. The sparking wines have small bubbles, a nice yeasty nose, with a dry taste profile. Price points are good for the quality.

This was my first tasting trip to Green Valley (part of the Russian River AVA) and I found the area scenic. Tree lined low rolling hills open up to vast vineyards. Iron House is down a long private road that really gives you a taste for this premium wine region. Definitely worth a visit.

My friends and I were in Napa to taste sparkling wines. The Iron Horse location was crazy cool! The number of different wines they offered really surprised us. And while the day was very hot and steamy, the sparklers were chilled on ice and were the perfect contrast. Getting to the vineyard was an adventure on its own and when you arrive at this quaint, gorgeous place; well it's icing on the cake. Then when you actually TASTE the wines, well, let's just say this is a must do sort of tasting. In some ways the rustic, no muss, no fuss, great tasting wines suit us perfectly. Definitely worth the visit!

5 stars for the wine. The tasting was mediocre.

I felt like we we pushed through the tasting quickly - there is minimal tasting notes on the paper guide you're given, and the host didn't elaborate much on them either. Most wineries give you an extra pour or two other than what's on the list, but this one provided none (except if you ask for a specific one, they will). Also, all tasting was being done standing (not seated).

In addition, I asked the host to take a picture of us, and maybe I should have checked my phone before he went away, but the photo came out with the telephone pole right behind us, and water bottle on our table etc. For how beautiful the view was supposed to be (it is, but there are many other wineries in the area with fantastic views), this is a picture that I just want to delete for good. Overall pretty poor customer service.

We have been coming to Iron Horse for years. It's off the beaten path, but that comes with an absolutely stunning view and the best bubbles in Sonoma. Jared was our host and he was a wonderful delight. We were caught in construction traffic and arrived a little late, but he went above and beyond to accommodate us (Did I mention that Iron Horse is almost always my favorite stop in wine country?). He even sabered a bottle for us as we were the last people there for the day! We became members not only because their wine is fantastic, but also because of the great customer service by Jared.

We went during times of COVID and the staff very safety-focused, attentive, warm and knowledgeable. Our outdoor tasting was delightful and a pre-arranged picnic in the gazebo was such a special treat. Overall a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Next time we'll try the Sunday Oyster pairing!

My sisters and I set up a tour at IRON HORSE VINEYARD a month before we traveled, 7 of us provided cell phone numbers and email addresses. We drove 1 1/2 hours in a rain storm to make our scheduled tour. When we arrived 10 minutes early we were met by a nasty man who told us all tours were canceled due to no electric. When I asked why no one called to cancel this man became angry.
And when my sister asked to use the restroom before we started back on the road he told her NO. And suggested we leave NOW.
The unprofessional staff and total disorganization left a sour taste in my mouth. I would not waste my time going to IRON HORSE VINEYARD there are so many other beautiful and friendly vineyards to visit. ALEXANDER VALLEY, KORBEL, DUTCHERS CROSSING,
RUED, CHATEAU ST JEAN is especially BEAUTIFUL!!!

Broad selection of wines available for tasting - great sparklings, the late harvest viognier is a must try. Perched at the top of a hill overlooking vineyards almost as far as the eye can see, the laid-back outdoor tasting room consists of a few wooden planks and barrels, the ground for a spit bucket, and magnificent views. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. A wonderful Sonoma experience, it's on our list whenever we visit the area!

We stopped by for our "Tasting & Tour" which we reserved on their website. Well worth it to have such a comprehensive taste & tour. I've never been a sparkling wine fan but I am now. Our tasting guide was excellent and we had such a great time. They love their job and it shows. This is a definite stop on your list of places to visit in the area.

A very special location that is not pretentious and has beautiful views. Great people working here. The sparkling wines are phenomenal and award winning. The whole experience was very charming. I would go back in a minute.
