Nestled amid the vines at Coopersmith vineyard, tastings educate visitors about Merry's handcrafted Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. Experience wines produced with a genuine sense of place using site-specific viticulture and gentle, traditional winemaking practices. Merry and her husband, Ken, invite you to join them at their estate winery. Please call to schedule a private tasting, however if you don't have time for an appointment we welcome you to come in from 9:30AM - 4:30PM for a more casual tasting. Parties of 8 or more, limos and buses are accepted by prior arrangement only. (Please note, our winery is patrolled by cats. No canines, please -- assistance dogs are exempt. Thank you for your understanding.)

I'm not a huge Pino fan and that's the biggest market they have but they do a great job. They do a nice sit down tasting and explain all the wines and everything they do. Nice place to go and slow down a bit.

A group of girlfriends and I visited this past weekend, and really enjoyed our time here. As mentioned in other reviews, this place has less curb appeal; but inside the private tasting room, both the ambiance and the wine are great! The service was wonderful, the story of Merry Edwards and her wine was inspiring, and I loved the sauvignon... More

I went here on a recommendation from a friend who impressed a sommelier with one of Merry Edwards' Pinot Noirs. Reservation was not required but seemed like they would only take walk ins if they could fit you in. I went during a weekday so it was no problem. I imagine on the weekends that making a reservation is a... More

They were very nice to accommodate our group of 9 on short notice. Beautiful grounds, and a small area to sit outside, but all tasting is done inside. We enjoyed the wine we bought, too!

Driving up, this may not have as much curb appeal as other spots. The expertise is WINE, not curb appeal. Your palette will be much more satisfied here than in other "cutesy" or "fancy" places. The staff is Highly educated and eloquent, while maintaining a casual conversationalism that keeps you at ease. This is the first wine I ever called... More

It was an excellent visit with free wine tasting. Our host Brown was very personable and knowledgable about wines, production and everything else in between we wanted to know. Highly recommended.

We've had her wines off and on for about 30 years while she was the wine maker at other wineries. Her winery is out of the way on a two lane road, it worth the traffic to get there. Reservations are not required, tastings are in small groups in separate rooms. The person pouring was very knowledgable about her wines... More

Alex Reynolds did a fantastic job explaining the different soil and climate zones where ME grows their grapes. The cold air sucks in from the Pacific Ocean and stays in Petaluma. Sonoma Coast AVA is cooler and therefore the Pinot Noir is lighter. The further north you go, the less cooler it gets and therefore the wine is bolder. Their... More

Our group of 3 couples had a delightful time tasting and learning about Merry Edwards wines. Derrick was a wonderful and knowledgeable host for the hour sit down tasting. Call ahead and make an appointment - you will want to be sitting down when you taste the delicious Pinot Noir wines she is known for. We all had trouble deciding... More
