Stop here and get info and history. The back room presents a pictorial history of Sausalito. Learn a great deal from reading to info attached to the pictures. And the woman in the front was very helpful in directing where to go to enjoy a one day visit to Sausalito. Stop here and visit with knowledge.

We reached Sausalito in the morning and pretty interested to cover the major attractions. Visitor center guide helped us with the map explaining the must see places and how to reach each point. Appreciate the help. Must visit!!!

Very helpful. Gave us all the information we needed before we even had to ask. Friendly and efficient. I wish all visitor centre's around the world were so good. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

Lots to do across the bay from San Francisco and the Visitor's Center is a great place to start. Friendly folks with lots of brochures, pamphlets, maps and up to date information. You'll plan out your trip right with minimal zig zags and backtracking. ...

Lovely little village, very popular and crowded, had the best sandwiches at the Bakery for lunch. BLT and Chicken Pesto both excellent.

A cute, relaxing, slightly pretentious getaway from San Francisco. We biked across the bridge and did the "bike valet". Restaurant selection can be limited and many places only take cash (there are a Bank of America and a few other ATMs around). If taking a ferry back get you ticket at the blue kiosk as soon as you get there... More

Decided to go to Sausalito when in San Fran as my sister had been there before and said it was nice. It is easy enough to get to/back by ferry, either from main ferry terminal or further up on pier 39, where the fares seem to range from $9 to $13 each way but be warned the ferries leave around... It was quite disappointing to see the visitor center to be closed on a weekday afternoon. The town is good to take a walk around and see some nice yachts but nothing so great as hyped

A small area with interesting historical photos and an old gramophone. They were most helpful and provided excellent advice.

My 3rd time to Sausalito . We drove and keep coming back to Hanson's Art Gallery . Walked the downtown area several streets of nice shops . Great photo op where the ferries dock . The best part of town is the Visitor's Center . I loved the history lessons the old pictures all very well done.
