The perfect wedding spot... here for a friends wedding... beautiful grounds, patio, lawn area for the ceremony.. We dined on the surrounding patio of the villa and dancing inside.. in the hills of Saratoga. Not familiar with the Arts Center of this venue!

This property is great to spend an hour, or a few, just walking around, or hiking some trails in the back. Ample free parking. Used to have GREAT jazz concerts in the evenings. Now, just mediocre, although the venue is still magnificent for an evening concert outside in the amphitheater. I only wish the concerts were better..

I've visited Montalvo on countless occasions for performances, the trails and the art. The main draw for me are the grounds for a picnic out on the expansive lawn and the trails which are shaded by many redwood trees. Even in the rain the trails are wonderful to hike with the creek running. The main house there built almost 100... More

Excellent outdoor comedy show. The show we went to had assigned seating with plenty of room. We parked at the West Valley College as recommended and that worked out very well. If we see another concert here we will do that again. They had fine dining that you could sign up for when you purchased the tickets. We shared a... More

Thank you to Senator James Phelps for gifting his marvelous estate to the community of Saratoga. It is truly the anchor of the arts community here and offers opportunities for the public to experience and interact with a wide variety of artists via residencies, classes, workshops, events and performances. The theaters are intimate and have great sound, perfect for seeing... More

We attended a concert here for the first time last night and thought the entire facility was beautiful. We planned to return for lots more concerts and to do some hiking. The outdoor amphitheater (1400 seats so it's nice and small) was wonderful. However, as soon as it started to get dusk, out came the marijuana and the attendees were... More

On weekdays, free parking is plentiful. Parking Lot 4 is closest to the trails. Clean bathrooms are available near the start of the trails. Although hilly, the trails aren't steep. Lots of people walking dogs, many off leash, so be aware. A bay tree had recently fallen across the trail which meant we had to climb over or under it... More

Ideally, the Montalvo Art Center would be perfect for a wedding. Other than that, it's worth it to ruin the lawn and park on it instead of parking at the local college and getting shuttled over to the center. I do not know if there are concerts in the rain or how they handle that. I wouldn't want to be... More

No bad seats in this great outdoor theater in the woods. Reasonable prices for such a nice area. Free parking at west valley jr. college with a quick shuttle bus to fairly remote hillside venue with extremely limited pre-paid parking. Just as easy to take bus. Seems like nice hiking during day.
