Very good Merlot

Nice tasting room. Very friendly staff. My wife and I both liked the 2014 Merlot for $28 a lot. It was the best Merlot we tasted on our trip to Paso Robles and the Santa Ynez... read more

Nice tasting room. Very friendly staff. My wife and I both liked the 2014 Merlot for $28 a lot. It was the best Merlot we tasted on our trip to Paso Robles and the Santa Ynez Valley. My wife liked the 2014 Sauvignon Blanc for $21 as it was a little sweeter than the usual sauvignon blanc. Tasting fee was... More

Service is always good. Wine ..well depends on your taste. I prefer their white and dessert wines even though I usually drink red wine. The special events are so much fun. Movie nights, bbq's, the winery tour with wine and cheese pairings..always a good time.

Kalyra Winery was our last stop in our wine tour. All of us in our group agree that our tour guide save the best for last. All of their wines tasted good but their dessert wines are some of the best we ever tasted. It is so good that we decided to join their Wine Thieves Club and purchase at... More

Overall the location is very nice. The service is very good but the wine are not that good. The sauvignon blanc was the best of all. The oporto wine ( last one) had great cocoa notes.

Kalyra is a great wine tasting destination. The ladies where helpful and pleasant. They gave us great suggestions even creating a special sample that my wife really loved. We took advantage of the very picturesque view and relaxed and enjoyed the Sunday afternoon!

Did a tour of 4 wineries and had our picnic lunch at this location since it was a movie site of Sideways and there was a band playing outside. Wine was not my favorite(see Bridlewood ) but really enjoyed the experience.

This is a vinery I keep coming back to, and we live in Europe.... Love their atmosphere, very laid back and relaxed, typical Aussie feel to it. Their desseret wines is so good!! Very hard to find a favorite, but I keep trying! Family who tried their ordinary wine tasting were not disappointed either. I do not mind coming back... More

Beautiful vineyard right out the front, plenty of parking and a nice open floor plan with little items for purchase available. The issue with being so "open" is just that there were several flies buzzing around. I did also notice they had an outdoor garden area but didn't venture on out there as there was some painting class going on.... More

We added this venue to our December Central Coast tour, simply because it was listed as "dog-friendly". Was it ever! I love people from Oz, and these were no different. They seem to specialize in dessert wines, which is a great change-up from the sometime rough Pinot noirs that predominate this area. Winston loved it (Jack, not so much).

We visited Kalyra just because of Sideways Movie. We had the dessert wine tasting and the wine is definitelly not good. The place is nice although, if you are not a wine expert you will enjoy the visit like we did!
