Wine tasting and service was good. I want to say be careful when buying the wine as they serve the tastings in a 750ml bottle. When you purchase the wine you get a 375ml bottle for 30 dollars and a 500ml bottle for 40 dollars. It was in the small print. I felt it was misleading to serve the wine in a bigger bottle than what you actually purchase. Very Overpriced for what you get. I ran into someone else that had this same experience.

We happened to stop by this lovely established dating back to the 80’s winery. The sweet hostess was able to accommodate us at a wonderful table with a spectacular view. I enjoyed the white flight. The Sauvignon blanc was crisp and cool on a summer day; bought a bottle.
Prices were very reasonable. Staff was super.
Covid mindful too.

This was a cute property with a nice view. We ordered a cheese platter and it was a nice little assortment, served on the grass as we had our dog. It was in the middle of covid and they had a lot of outdoor options that were spaced apart. It was a nice little stop.

This winery is dear to our hearts as my wife and I had one of our earlier dates here and have a framed poster of the winery logo on our breakfast wall. We visited again recently and LOVED our server (KB) on 7/21. We enjoyed our server's friendly banter, the beautiful and relaxing setting, and the consistently excellent wine. Loved the 2017 Merlot this time around! We'll be back.

This is our favorite winery. We've been more times that we can count, but we always visit when we're in Santa Ynez or when we're on our way to Paso Robles. My wife and I had a lovely afternoon with our wine-pour-er (Lori). We sat outside and ate our turkey sandwiches while Lori poured our various flights. Unlike other wineries, Kalyra allows outside food, which is an excellent pairing with the wine.

I visited three wineries during my stay in Santa Barbara County. Kalyra was hands down my favorite. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, and the owner was on site mingling with guests. Beautiful vineyard with a gorgeous view of the valley and hills. Peaceful and quiet. The patio seating is very comfortable. Their dessert flight was delicious, each one better than the last. I took home a bottle of the late harvest.

My husband and I visited several wineries in the Santa Ynez Valley. Inspired by the movie "Sideways" we made a stop at Kalyra. Of the six wineries we visited, we found Kalyra the most hospitable, friendly, warm, informative and welcoming of all. This was our first wine tasting trip and my husbands first exposure to wine and wine tasting. Kalyra winery was the last stop on our trip and it ended up being a good way to bring our trip to a closing. Every wine we sampled at Kalyra we enjoyed. The whites had the right amount of flavor and sweetness we liked and the reds were smooth and not overpowering. We sampled two of their desset wines; 2005 Orange Muscat and 20 year old Aussie Tawny Port. They were delicious dessert wines and we found ourselves trying to find some way to pair the wine so we could take a bottle home. We purchased 4 of their wines; 2003 Chardonnay, 2004 Chardonnay, 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2005 Gewurztraminer. We also decided to join their cleverly named "Wine Thieves" wine club. They offer wonderful discounts and a variety of club options that fit our needs. After signing up for their club, we chatted with the staff and were given "Wine Thief" exclusive tastings of some previously released wines. We sipped great wine, laughed, enjoyed listening to Oasis piped in through the overhead speakers, and visited the many photos and memorablia from the movie "Sideways". We are looking forward to attending the special club events that are scheduled for the rest of the year. I can't wait to revisit my friends at the Kalyra winery. We recommend that everyone makes Kalyra Winery a stop on their own wine tours of the region.

This winery has a very original vibe. It is fun, funky and warm. Wine is not snotty here. It is very inviting and welcoming to visitors. Great location, stunning views - but I just don’t love their wine.
Since taste is personal- I encourage you to try it for yourself. Many people enjoy this label.
