I am here, walking the trail starting from Howarth and circling Spring Lake, several times a month. The real joy is seeing the seasons change. The water is clear and the color changes as the sky colors change. I love the redwing blackbirds. It is a well-used park and beloved by residents. A truly special place.

The walk around Spring Lake Park is about 2.1 miles of wide, paved footpaths, providing a relaxing walk around the beautiful lake. One side enjoys lawn and clean restroom facilities. Parking comes with a fee. Wild life abounds.

Very nice park. The lake is beautiful. Lots of shade trees. Good walking and hiking paths. Although it is not a dog park, it is dog friendly with clean-up bags and even a dog-appropriate water fountain along a trail.

I go here all the time with my family. We feed the ducks and geese with chicken scratch from the feed store (not bread!!) and hike through the trails. There is camping too.

Nestled into the hills of Anadel, Spring Lake is within Santa Rosa city limit and still feels like being in wilderness. A nice easy hike, or if you are ambitious, hike can be few hours. There is a horse trails for horse lovers. Not a bad place to spend a day.

I absolutely love this park. It's perfect for a strong with a special someone, a jog or a walk with your pooch. It's beautiful, clean and has water and bathrooms, with free parking! There's a bit of a rush around the 5 PM hour, so if you want it all to yourself, go earlier. But it's still pleasant then too.... More

Although this is an urban, man-made lake, it feels more wild and private than most. When you are on the trial around the lake, it mostly feels like you are in a more private space. Paddle boarding here is great, especially for beginners. The lake is quiet and I often am the only one out there. Adjacent and connected by... More

There is enough space for walker, runner, and bikers to share the road on this well maintained trail around the lake. It's also what I would consider the perfect distance, about two and a half miles. You can finish a fast passed walk in half an hour. There is also good shade throughout.
