The gardens, greenhouse and home of Luther Burbank are delightful. Luther had visits from Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and other famous folks. He developed the Shasta Daisy, a spineless cactus and thousands of other plants.

Though I lived in Santa Rosa forty years ago, I had never visited the Luther Burbank Gardens. Recently, since I was visiting SR as a tourist, it was on my list. The signage is engaging and informative. The gardens are lovely.

The Luther Burbank Garden was very interesting! We enjoyed exploring the small garden area and the museum/gift store. A nice little oasis in the city.

I have visited often but this time brought a group of colleagues. Leaving frigid MN, they enjoyed the flowers that were blooming, the great cactus, and the story of Luther Burbank. Very pleasant temps and visit. Gift shop is only open seasonally.

If you have an interest in Luther Burbank, this is the place to go. You can see where he lived and experimented; e.g., he bred a cactus without thorns and white blackberries! I didn't know anything about him, learned a lot, and was impressed. He...More

Lived in Santa Rosa for years and finally stopped by. Though the buildings were closed, the garden(s) was/were pleasent and the mobile phone tour and signs were quite informantive. The staff/volunteers were welcoming and very friendly.

I would agree with Kevin G - certainly worth a visit even taking account of perhaps a few steps.
