I have bought my grandchildren here every time I have visited for the last few years and always had a good time. This year however was a great disappointment. We arrived and were told that they had been busy with two family parties but we could get a lane shortly as soon as they had a chance to tidy up, it would be less than half an hour max. We stayed and were surprised as we stood patiently waiting that in fact only four lanes of the dozen or so were in use! After fifteen minutes nothing had changed, still only a small minority off the lanes were being used. After 35 mins we gave up and went to the ice cream parlour. We were mighty disappointed.

Bowlmor is a fun bowling alley that takes us back to simpler times. We like to go out with friends for a Bowling party & have pizza & beer. It's quite up to date, despite the old time facade & classic cars on the lot. Who knows how much longer it will remain in Santa Monica with all of the gentrification & new buildings? Enjoy bowling while it's still here! ...

Late night bowling and drinks in Santa Monica. Came here for a 26th birthday party on a Saturday night and it was $55 for unlimited bowling, drinks at the bar, and food (you can apparently only pick three types of food though, and ours was buffalo wings, spinach artichoke dip with pita breads and tortilla chips, and cheese pizza). We got wristbands to significantly that we were part of the party. You can get your shoes at the front immediately when you come in and they run a tad larger than your real size. You can put your shoes underneath the table in your bowling lane and return the bowling shoes to the rack once your time is up.

There’s an arcade in the back, right beside the bar. Bartenders were nice but since there were a lot of people, it took a bit before we got our drinks. However I particularly enjoyed the Moscow mules and it was open bar so all is good. There’s a men’s and women’s bathroom available and a free parking lot. If there’s no spots, there’s some metered parking around the area. Bowlmor is close enough to Main St where you can go out after - it’s about a 10-15 min walk to the Victorian or a quick uber.

First of all there was spilled beer all over the floor that took us asking 3 times to clean up. In the middle of our game they decided to switch us to different lanes to accommodate a party. They didn't offer to help move our food or drinks. There is no air on the lanes. You can't correct your own scores. Over priced. Arcade sucks! Games aren't even good. Pinball machine flippers don't work. Horrible service too!!

We decided this would be a fun last night in Santa Monica thing to do, Boy were we wrong! Over 50 mins for server to come to our lane, in the 2.5 hours our server came twice. We were both hoping to have cocktails and some dinner but it was way to SLOW!! And the server had the worst attitude. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone nor would my family ever come back!! If your thinking about coming here dont bother!!

The place is good as they have above 20 lane ...

Very busy ... Groups and uni people usually come in a group...

The receptionists are very kind ...they help me with my kid and make her comfortable from the shoes to all stud she need at bowling lane...

They have a screen every where where you can see matches and games ...

They have very old arcade games let go back to the 80's...

There is a small bar and screens round it ..

The restrooms need cleaning as there are people not very responsible ...

Parking available for free ..

Cost 5-9 depend on time of the games ..

Lighting is cool ...

Cool place to bowl and hang out with friends. The space is modern, a bit dark (the bathroom was like walking into a darkened movie theater!), and the music is loud. My friend bought out three lanes for two hours of bowling. The birthday package included unlimited cheese pizza, pitchers of soda, and shoe rental for everyone. The people working there were great and were always around to clean, help us reset the lanes, answer any questions. There's a bar where we also bought pitchers of beer, white Russians and other mixed drinks. The score keeping TVs were really cool, after your first bowl it even showed us what pins to hit to pick up the spare. The arcade is great, lots of cool games, both vintage and modern. The surrounding area is super busy, it's Santa Monica after all, so expect traffic in the area.

With two grandsons to entertain this was an ideal way to spend the afternoon, though a little tiring for the grandparents!
The lanes have been recently refurbished, and the place generally smartened up in the last year or so. The 20 lanes work well, the music, as always, is too loud, the table service was good, the sundaes and lemonade reasonably priced, and the air conditioning just wonderful with the outside at 90+. The game prices are on the high side, but vary with day and time, so if you are on a tight budget check it out first.
