We are a sightseeing tour bus company based out of Santa Monica, right on the beach. Board “The Perfect Los Angeles Tour” and take a 5.5 hour trip through the streets of Hollywood & Beverly Hills with stops along the way, or choose the 4.5 hour Malibu tour for a beach cruise of celebrity homes and famous filming locations. We contacted Surf City tours to ask if they could offer a deal to Walk With Sally, a non profit organization that helps kids who have been impacted by cancer. Adam, the owner was so generous and responsive, we were able to bring our kids and their mentors and we all had a blast. Our driver/guide was Chad and he made the trip even more fun, he was so entertaining, knowledgeable and sweet. We highly recommend this tour. Adam reached out after our bus tour to offer more trips for our kids. Amazing!!

Easy to book online. Easy to find location to meet. Really enjoyed our tour. Tour guide was entertaining, informative and attentive to his guests needs. Good driver too. It was pouring rain that day but we all stuck it out. Lots of sights included on the tour with a few stops as well.

I'm prefacing this to shout out about the innovative and generous ways in which Surf City Tours is donating their time during Covid to Keep the Spirit of Travel Alive with sneak peek virtual tours; @surfcitytours.
The fun starts before you even hop on the vehicle because they are based at Santa Monica Pier, y'all! A Southern California destination for over 100 hundred years, the historic Pier offers it's own full day of fun before you even begin your tour. The Hippodrome with it's old fashioned calliope (National Register of Historic Places), an Aquarium, Playland, shops and live music assure that you will have plenty to do as you await your ride. Tours are comfortable and comprehensive and the guides are entertaining and informative. Visibility from all seats is excellent so you won't be whizzing past things that you can't see as can happen wiith some of the larger tour buses. Bring your camera, highlight stops along the way. Highly recommended.

Our guide, Brandon Gibson, arrived on time and was determined to show us what most tourists want to see in Beverly Hills and Hollywood. He included his professional comedy skills in his presentation so we laughed a lot while he showed us the sights. He shared interesting nuggets of the stories behind the landmarks and neighborhoods that we visited and the celebrities who call the area home. He gave us the inside scoop on how show business and movie studios operate so we'll probably never watch movies the same again. He knows A LOT about Hollywood celebrities and their homes that most of us didn't know. He had great recommendations on how to make the most of our visit when choosing places to go, shop and eat. I highly recommend this tour and try to get Brandon as your guide.

I had a great experience with Surf City Tours and would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see LA, Beverly Hills and Hollywood without having to figure out where to go yourself. Chad was such a great tour guide, very friendly and knowledgeable, you could tell he really enjoyed his job and put a lot of extra time and effort into learning about the sites himself so he could share with others.

We only had one day to see LA and this tour was a great choice. Our driver, Roger, was knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to spend the day with on tour. We were the only passengers and were happy that the tour was not cancelled. This is primarily a driving tour of the area but we were happy to sit back and see some of the stars homes, Rodeo drive as well as other famous streets and buildings. We were given enough time at each of the stops and found Roger very flexible. We would highly recommend this tour if you want to see a lot of the area in one day.

We loved our tour guide Ki. She was so funny! We enjoyed all of the stops and explanations. It really helped us to determine what parts of the city we wanted to go explore further and it was nice to have someone drive us around who knew where they were going!

Don’t waste your time nor your money!! We actually saw more touring on our own with an online celebrity home map than we did on this tour. The tour information says it will take you to the Hollywood sign for a 15 min stop for photo ops. What a joke! He pulled off the side of the road on Mullholland Dr. for maybe 30 seconds. You won’t get close and it’s at an angle, through scrub bushes. Every single celebrity home our guide took us by, along with the information regarding whose home it either once belonged to or currently belongs to, was in fact, incorrect. After researching all of the information after the fact, I would have to give this tour 2 thumbs down. The only positives about it were (1) we didn’t have to fight traffic ourselves to ride around LA for hours and (2) the lunch at the farmer’s market was great. Very, very disappointed overall, though. 😔

The tour itself was good. Loved the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Farmer's Market and the tour of the homes in the hills. The weather was very breezy on the tour bus (could definitely use some windows with a clear view).

we did the two hour celebrity houses etc tour. Although the driver was good, we couldn't enjoy the tour, because we got drenched. Every other company with similar tours offered a bus suitable for that stormy weather, whereas the Surf City Tours operated with the open air van, the top of which couldn't protect us from the rain. The company didn't cancel the tour either, although they were incapable of providing decent sightseeing conditions. Never experienced anything like it. Hopefully never have to either.

I'm sorry for the less than ideal conditions for your tour. I do my best to track weather conditions, as it obviously affects the enjoyment of an open air van experience. Clearly this day didn't go our way, but would be honored to offer you another tour free of charge if the circumstances allow it.

It doesn’t seem to be a round trip tour. I’d like to confirm whether we come back to the tour meeting spot from the beginning or does it just end at the Original Farmer’s Market?

We are unable to pickup from the Anaheim area. We would recommend looking into the cost of an Uber or Lyft cab for travel from Anaheim to our office.

They would like you to park at the pier and walk up to the office which is about 2 blocks from the pier. they will drop you off at the pier when the tour is over. Its a great tour and Garry is a super guide.

I didn't book, was lucky and got on the bus same day. They have a couple of vehicles. Also would depend on the time of year you are travelling.

We did this tour in August for 4 it was £250 about $325 plus there's a sign in the bus saying the drivers get payed in tips and you're expected to tip at least $10 per person. It's supposed to be about 5 hours but we were out nearly 8! It's expensive but a good way to see the sights in a day
