We were really looking forward to the trip to Hollywood it's really not worth the money. You were told a lot of information about buildings you pass so quickly you don't really see anything. Hollywood stars were ok but it was packed so you couldn't really see anything and the most disappointing thing was the Hollywood sign was miles away... More

I had planned to spend five days in LA during a recent visit as part of a greater US road trip. Following a recommendation from the hotel concierge, I booked and paid for two tours with this Company - one a Beverly Hills/Hollywood City Tour and the other The Universal Studios Tour. What a disaster...........these guys ruined my plans for... More

Having been on many tours over the past two decades all across the Americas, I can honestly say this was the absolute worst. The tour started late, the bus did not pick us up at the hotel as promised, the tour guide was inaudible and refused to speak into the microphone, the bus was hot and the list goes on.... More

We did the morning tour which goes to Rodeo Drive Hollywood and Universal Studios. Charlie was our driver/guide and couldn't get anyone more positive and entertaining, he was very good and made the tour with his stories. Also had a very good grasp of overseas counties and was able to include stories about our own places which added to the... More

Although there was only 4 on our trip Charlie still gave a 100% to the tour. He was really knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour & found something funny in nearly all of his information. A really easy guy to talk to & answered all our question no matter how stupid they sounded. It was a shame we couldn't... More

Charlie Farrell was the best guide we have had on a tour this week. He was knowledgeable, personable, interesting and fun! I would highly recommend this tour if he is your guide.

STAY AWAY. The only reason they got two stars instead of one is that we got a full refund of our money. We went on the Rodeo dr./ hollywood tour. They picked us up from our hotel and took us to the main area where the tour buses began the tour. The "office" area was a large dirty room where... More

My wife and I booked a combined city tour and universal studios package through our hotel's concierge. It was expensive ($350) but it was recommended by the hotel. Within 24 hours of making the booking 'not so' amazing LA tours phoned the hotel to advise they had put the price up by $100 outlining that Universal had raised their entrance... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
