If I was really into it I probably would be more enthusiastic, but a 50 second coaster ride and a Ferris wheel ride for $12 each was a hundred bucks for ten minutes (25 if you count waiting in line. The arcade games and carnival games were all good looking; even the kid rides looked popular. They did run out of churros which bummed me out.

Located at the Santa Monica Pier, this family friendly spot offers more than 16 rides, 10 midway games and 7 new branded eateries in the oceanfront food plaza.
If you can, avoid the busy times which are evenings and weekends. If you have a week day off and the kids are out of school, I would suggest coming early morning 11am and staying just before 3pm, This would avoid any traffic coming in and out of Santa Monica. Or you can go green which is what we did, rode the Expo line in Los Angeles straight to 3rd st. its about a 45min ride but well worth it. The unlimited wrist bands are priced $20 for 7- and $40 8+ . Eateries include; burgers, pizza, ice cream, coffee, funnel cakes, dippin dots.

It's really expensive at $12 each to go on the ferris wheel and the coaster but it's so iconic it just had to be done. We'd travelled from England and will probably never return (we don't go to the same place twice on vacation) so we went on both rides and loved them both. We were there on a weekday evening and it was just so beautiful to go on the rides and watch the sunset. My teenagers had huge grins on their faces so it was well worth it.

The whole place just had a great vibe about it.

Extremely undertrained, unprofessional and racists staff. They are very discriminatory towards Asians. Horrible customer service. They tried to scam customers. You don't want to pay $12 and get discriminated by them. They treat hispanic customers differently than asian customers.

Pacific Park amusement park is fun and very busy. We were there on a Friday night and it was packed.. some long lines, fortunately the park is geared towards young families so the coasters was much more busy then the wheel and we were able to get on that without too much waiting.. great views from the wheel for sure, especially that sunset was just starting. Fun but geared towards families with younger children.

Situated on Santa Monica Pier, this fun park has 12 rides including a roller coaster and a Ferris wheel. It is much cheaper to buy an all day pass if you intend to go on several rides. There are rides for all ages and I hate to say the roller coaster is a little tame.

Visited this place on US trip with SOTC group. Pacific Park is an oceanfront amusement park located on the Santa Monica pier, California. The park is directly out on the Pacific Ocean, in the direction of Catalina Island. It is the only amusement park on the West Coast of the United States located on a pier and LA's only admission-free park. There are a total many rides in the Pacific Park including the world's first and only solar powered Ferris wheel that provides a view of the Pacific Ocean and a roller coaster that circles the majority of the park. The park was very busy with people during our visit. The park has appeared in many movies and television shows. Great place for family and specially kids.

We visited Pacific Park on our first day arriving from Europe. Obviously in the early morning hour, none of the rides are opened. But the ambience and surrounding is captivating and really beautiful. It's definitely a trade mark of Santa Monica and must see. Would have been better to ride some of them at 11 am but the queue had been very long. We were happy just looking around and taking pictures.

Cool spot to walk out and hang out on the pier. Rode the Pacific wheel 10 years ago, and then returned to find it exactly the same. Good for nostalgia. Swimming was closed at the beach due to bacteria levels so the pier was less crowded than normal. Walked the pier, took some pics, ate some really good ice cream at Scoops, and rode the Pacific Wheel
