2nd Segway rental! Wonderful Experience! Toured the Tar Pits via on the Segway and had a Wonderful guide explaining every aspect. Would highly recommend this tour to everyone (except kids). A walk through the tar pit park would have taken hours, but because the Segway has exclusive touring rights we did a tour in approx. 45 minutes. The park does... More

I'll admit, my first thought of a Segway ride was me smashing on my face. My 17 year old daughter had faith I could do it. She was right. First, I screwed up. I thought I booked for Sunday. I booked for Saturday, the day before we showed up. NO WORRIES. They would still give us the instruction on the... More

Great service, with a smile. Contacted the guys asked about the tour. Tour was sold out but decided to get a two hour rental instead. Got set up in no time and we had an absolute blast. Would highly recommend. We will be seeing you again one day. Keep on providing outstanding service guys.

Where else to test it if not along the beach of Santa Monica? We thought so. Went to the shop close to the pier. Met two friendly and nice guys that gave us the 20 min. educational video and the test drive in the shop. After that we felt ready for the road. One of the guys followed us to... More

We booked a two hour tour, from Santa Monica to Venice Beach from the UK, a couple of months earlier. We easily found the segway office from their instructions. In the office we were shown a safely film and tried out the segways. Soon we were on our way, along the beach path from Santa Monica, stopping at Muscle Beach,... More

We hired these and did our own 2 hour tour. At first some might think it's a bit pricey but what a way to see the beaches. We started at Santa Monica and made our way to Venice beach. The staff here were very friendly and would highly recommend to friend if travelling to LA. Great fun and well worth... More

I have done this at the Second Time. I came 10 minutes late from the booking time. They ask me and my wife to watch the Safety Video while the other group were practicing the real Segway then show the map of Santa Monica to me. The other group and the tour leader would like to leave before. Only my... More

Hello, and I'm sorry to hear your experience was less than great. We aren't able to hold up a tour for more than a few minutes, as it's not fair to the rest of the group. Your party came in just as everyone was finishing up with training and heading down to the beach. We offered to rebook you into... More

Had lots of fun doing a Segway ride along the Santa Monica beach. We arrived late for the organized ride, so ended up going by ourselves. Lots of fun, except one of the Segway was stuck on the 'turtle speed', and we did not really know what was happening until the end.

We had a fabulous family outing along Santa Monica and Venice Beaches, and to the end of Venice Pier, with Nick, our very knowledgeable local guide. A wonderful experience. Allow plenty of time to get there though if you're not staying in Santa Monica itself. The traffic has to be experienced to be believed!

Third experience on a Segway tour and about the most fun you can have on one of these things. My wife and I have discovered that we love Segway tours. This one took us from Santa Monica Beach, near the pier, to the Venice Beach Pier and back. Had a wonderful time. Our guide pointed out the fun sights along... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
