There are lots of wineries on Foxen Canyon Road and in the surrounding area. We visited Foxen and were treated like royalty because a friend, who knows them, called ahead for us. We also visited Kenneth Volk Winery, which I recommend for their many unusual varieties. Expand your wine horizon and visit here.

Delicious wines with a lot of variety and super friendly and informative staff at each of the wineries we visited. This was really fun, beautiful to drive through the area, and great restaurants, too.

Even if you don't drink wine this drive is a must do while visiting the SAnta Ynez Valley. Scenery is unsurpassed w cows, long horn and others, vines, magnificent oak trees and countless excellent wineries along the way. Great as a bicycling path for die hard riders as inclines can be steep.

The Foxen Canyon Wine Trail is a wine country escape only two hours north of Los Angeles. Easy to access from Highway 154. Top notch Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah.

I love this area of California wine country. It is more quiet than Solvang, Paso Robles, and Napa which provide you with a better experience. There is always room at the bar area and the servers have time to give in depth detail about the wine. You will also fine different varietals than the usual pinot, chard and cab. Definitely... More

Wineries galore on this windy, scenic drive. Explore the beautiful hills above Santa Maria in this growing wine community. We enjoyed visiting wineries and taking in the sunshine of a lovely day just inland from the coast. Worth your time!

Drove up from Solvange to take this scenic drive thru wine country on our way to Santa Maria, CA. It was oppressively hot the day we went and the grasses all around the ranches and the vineyards were sadly brown. But the vineyards were spectacular to drive thru. Very little traffic on Zaca Station Rd/Foxen Trail. Joined a wine club... More

I'm used to desert so I loved riding through this valley, my mom grew up around here and my grandparents and dad worked the produce fields in the area. I live in TX now and love to visit places and areas in my hometown that I didn't get to see or appreciate more when I lived here as a child
