Drove the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail and it was marvelous! Great scenery, virtually idyllic, and wine was wonderful. Hosts at the wineries we visited were quite friendly and knowledgeable. This area with Los Olivos beats the overpriced and overhyped Napa/Sonoma areas. Very laidback.

No one should pass up Fess Parker's Wine tasting. From the cool, green lawn surrounded by oaks shading numerous quiet picnic spots to the sun bathed great room with huge fireplace and beckoning sofas, add superb wine tasting. As members of the wine club here, we enjoyed the tastings and left with bottles of fine wine to enjoy later. A... More

There are so many great things about this wine trail. Very scenic drive, dotted with great wineries along the way. Starting at Fess Parker, wind your way up to Demetria (appt. only!) or Zaca Mesa. Afterwards you can enjoy the drive to Martian Vineyards, or continue on to Tres Hermanas. Continuing north, we stopped at Foxen Vineyard. We were told... More

Whether your looking to spend the entire day sipped unique varietals or just passing from place to place the beauty of this scenic drive cannot be beat. It takes a little over an hour to drive end to end around rolling vineyards and endless emerald hills. But obviously the point is to stop along the way at some of the... More

Beautiful, windy, scenic route into wine country. We went off season, so there were no cars on the road - can't i agine what it would be like in peak season. Turning is easy to miss, so when you see the large sign alerting you the trail is coming up, keep your eyes open as almost immediately afterwards, you'll see... More

Stop along the drive and taste at the numerous high quality wineries, Zaca Mesa, Foxen, Cambria, River Bench and lots more. Be safe, make sure you have a designated driver.

Welcome to Wine Country! I grew up here. This small town is exactly the opposite of big city hustle bustle. You won't find too much to brag about outside the wine industry. There are several. I like Fess Parker. Stop in for some samples and enjoy the fresh clean air/open scenery while you sip!

The Foxen Wine Trail will lead you out of town to the hillsides where a variety of tasting rooms are tucked back among the vineyards. Each tasting room has it's own theme and personality with specialty wines from their vineyards. While Rancho Sisquoc was our favorite, their is a spot for everyone. You will definitely be able to restock your... More

Visited Cottonwood first thing and had a lovely time-enjoyed the Chardonnay's and ambiance with friends and another couple. On to CAMBRIA with even better Chard's and price was right as we joined the couple that belonged to this club. Last was Dementia-reservations only. Windy little road but worth the stop. Beautifull setting in a canyon and they bring the wine... More

Lovely secluded road roaming through the hills dotted with numerous family owned and operated Estate Wineries. With flights of six tastings, even splitting them with my husband, we could only visit four but we enjoyed them all. This is a very long and winding road in a remote area so you MUST have gas before you head out and it... More
