Stopped here on way to Monterey, lovely views and old school feel. Nice and relaxing feel and not overly crowded. Great beach and the sun was shining which was welcome after chilly foggy San Fran. Walked the wharf and soaked up the atmosphere. I preferred Santa Cruz to Monterey

Nice restaurants but parking was very expensive. The seals were my favorite part of it. The view of the boardwalk was amazing.

Called as we were visiting the Boardwalk and it's pretty hard not to notice! Good old (ish) pier, covered with tarmac(?!). Few shops in the middle and then 6 or so restaurants/takeouts. Seals resting underneath. Ok pier - nothing special. Similar to the one at Santa Barbara but not as nice. No postcode home from here...

We enjoyed walking down the long wharf, had nice view of the Santa Cruz Amusement Park, visited some shops, and enjoyed especially all the sea lions just chilling below. And it is all free!

The wharf is very clean and has nice shops and restaurants. We especially like Riva, but lot of good seafood choices. Handicapped get free parking. Fun to be there when the fishing boats come in to unload.

Such a fun place! There are so many people having a great time that you can't help but get caught up in it. The beach is beautiful and the carnival is such fun!

My husband and I really enjoyed the time we spent here, enjoying just walking, watching the sea lions and sea otters, visiting the small shops. Also some really good restaurants. A must when anywhere near Santa Cruz!

We visited Santa Cruz twice last week on our trip to the San Francisco Bay area. Both times, our destination was the Santa Cruz Wharf. The first time, we arrived it was very early in the morning, around 8 am on a weekday. We parked just before the wharf as we didn't realize that you could actually park on the... More
