Come for the wine...stay for the Aloha! Is it possible to make the intangible, tangible? To define love, or to capture the feeling of a sunset? That's the challenge when it comes to MJA. It's not just a destination, it's an experience that goes beyond the wine, mixed with the aroma of chocolate & Kona Coffee, the setting and the people... It's the Aloha! Actually, we handcraft around 8000 cases of our Aloha each year, right in our Westside Cellar in Santa Cruz. We sell our wines directly from our Tasting Rooms because our philosophy is that we want you to be able to buy the highest quality wine that we can produce at the best value possible. That's why we offer everyday specials such as "take 4 bottles for the price of 3", and 20% off everyday for our Kahuna Wine Club Members, and 30% off on club pickup days. And our 100% Kona Coffee that Marin (he's the MJA) grows on the Big Island of Hawaii, was voted as America's Best Coffee by Forbes Magazine. It too is only available at MJA of course! We roast it fresh each week at our Summit-Los Gatos Tasting Room & Vineyards. Come on up any Tuesday afternoon, grab a glass of wine and see how we do it. We're also open 7 days a week, so you can come any day and sink into our overstuffed chairs by the fire or watch the wildlife on our wooded patio...a perfect getaway right in your backyard! Or if flip flops, a hoodie and some great story telling is more your style, our Westside-Santa Cruz Tasting Room & Cellar is in the hip industrial portion of town, a few blocks from the Natural Bridges Beach with outdoor fire pits and comfy chairs on the lanai. A perfect pairing with the ocean breeze, a bottle of our handcrafted wines and a bag of Marin's fresh roasted Kona Coffee to go. Who needs Napa? Escape to MJA!

We really enjoyed ourselves here. We were impressed with the amount in the tastings. Really hate to pay for a pour that hardly coats my mouth. That is not the case here. As first timers we were treated to it all. Wines are of a great variety; best in the reds. Yes, we purchased wine as well as Kona coffee.

The owner Marin has a way of making all who visit feel like family. He is warm, kind and incredibly generous. My husband and I frequent this establishment and as much as we would like to say we are special, we see him treat every guest like they are VIP's . Whether you want to do your tasting at the... Just a nice place to sip some excellent wines. The staff is super friendly, wine is delicious, atmosphere elevated, chocolates and coffee divine, what more could you ask for. Oh yes, plenty of eateries close by. Go and you'll be glad you did.

When you step into MJA in the Santa Cruz Mountains you will never want to leave! On warm days you can enjoy the patio surrounded by trees while listening to live entertainment & choosing your favorite wine! On cold winter days, go cozy up in front of the gorgeous fireplace while sipping MJA's delicious red wine! Mmm! The staff is... More

Very friendly non pushy place. The owner Mirin is always upbeat and very knowledgeable . And since he used to own a coffee plantation on the Kona Coast, yes he sells Kona coffee too.he likes to sign each bottle you purchase , fun to laugh with him. He will find a wine you like for sure

We were driving to Santa Cruz from the bay area and checked into "Things to Do" in Santa Cruz. Came upon this winery and stopped in to check out their Aloha! What a fun day. The staff was awesome and the experience was so fun. I joined their wine club and enjoyed their reds! Some of them are young but... More

This may be a great experience for those that are new to wine tastings, but my boyfriend and I (who go to wine tastings often) were quite underwhelmed. We found that the wine wasn't very pleasant--too strong of an alcohol taste. Not many memorable wines, although they do have cute names. The tasting room itself felt very crammed; if you're... More

Aloha Meghan, we are so sad to hear that your experience was not first rate. We had just released several new wines around the time you came to see us, which have had a bit more time to develop. We would love it if you would give us another try. Hope to see you soon! Mahalo More
