If you are golf aficionado, Pasitempo is course you must play. It's expensive for a non member $240 w/out cart but playing and seeing the design and challenges are truly enjoyable. The greens are well protected with deep bunkers. Forget about your score as mid index player and higher because it is hard but fair and the greens are lightning... More

No doubt this is a really good golf course. How could it not be after being penned by the same hand that gave us Augusta National and Cypress Point. However, riding on the power of this brand to peg the price @ $262.00 a round seems very unreasonable. Yes, it's a great brand. But, take the name off the course... More

Legendary status lives up to the hype. Staff is exceptional, engaging, and encouraging. The course is extraordinary. No flat lies, greens that are steep and slick, rough that is thick. Bunkers are typical of Dr. MacKenzie's designs. Worth the price. The course that Julie Inkster grew up on.

I don't have much to add to the other reviews. Alister MacKenzie chose to live on this course and it really is quite beautiful. The course is in amazing shape, the staff is first class, the food in the clubhouse is pretty good. The greens fees are sometimes discounted to $165 which is quite the deal. The full rate ranges... From the moment we arrived to the conclusion of our round there was nothing that could be faulted. Staff greeted us warmly and could not have been more helpful or accommodating. The course is a visual and golfing treat with spectacular vistas and challenging holes. And, despite recent weather conditions and previous reviews, the fairways, rough and greens were in... More

Being from Massachusetts I do not often get the opportunity to play in California so when a friend "won" an auction to play Pebble and Spyglass and I was invited to come along I leapt at the opportunity. We decided to extend our stay and eventually played (with the help of some connections) The Olympic Club, Pasatiempo, Pebble Beach, Spyglass... More

Four of us went on a golfing trip to Monterey. This was our last stop. This is a very tough course. the course conditions were excellent. Greens were very well maintained and the bunkers were excellent. Having never played a golf course by Alistair McKenzie, this was a new style to our group. Extremely tough greens to the point of... Pasatiempo 20 Clubhouse Rd. Santa Cruz, CA California is blessed with some of the finest golf courses in the world. I finally got the opportunity to play one of the best designed by the legendary Dr. Alister MacKenzie. This truly is a magnificent course. Fortunately I had the additional benefit of playing the round with two members who were gracious... More

For years I have enjoyed watching the Masters and admired a beautiful layout of a course. I'm sure every golfer is familiar with Augusta National. What I was not familiar with was a course named Pasatiempo Golf Club. When I read that Alister MacKenzie considered Pasatiempo his favorite layout, I was intrigued. Playing this course was quite an experience. The... More

Played on June 3. Pretty course- not long from white tees. Pretty good shape. Sad to see all the homes around the course with dry lawns or no lawns. Cost 225 approx- plus 64$ for a cart for two. I think it's a very good course but too expensive.
