I've been here before but this campus is a never-ending discovery of new sights. This time we visited with seven high school students from the ghetto on our way to the Stanford Speech and Debate Tournament - it was such a joy to watch the delight through new eyes - and we toured a small portion of the campus with... This is a great University and I really enjoyed going to school in the redwood setting of this campus. I rode my bike around campus because it's pretty large. This was very awesome to enjoy the redwood forest and the trails all through the forrest between buildings on campus. I graduated 24 years ago now, but I still live here... More

If you are visiting Santa Cruz, it is worth drive up to campus. I suggest the West entrance, as the view is gorgeous. Or go in the East Entrance, and drive out the West. The open fields and view of the Pacific and the Monterey Bay, can give the feeling of being on the top of the world. Be sure... More

Although not as pastoral as it was when I was a student and later an instructor at UCSC, it is still a very beautiful campus. It is set on a hilltop overlooking Monterey Bay on land iwhich was once a rural pasture. The colleges are based on the English model and are separated from each other. There are open spaces,... My favorite University campus. Perched on a mountain above the Monterey Bay, the colleges meander through shaded redwood groves where students follow footpaths to and fro or catch the free Banana Slug bus around campus or winding down the mountain glimpsing stunning ocean views. The best indoor gym is at the East Field House where huge windows afford sunlight and... More

While Berkeley has the most beautiful buildings of any of the UCs, the redwood forests and Pacific Ocean views make UC Santa Cruz the most pleasant to walk around.

UCSC is one of the few campuses that feature both views of the majestic pacific, mountains and a slightly desert range. The campus is beautifully crafted with dormitories adjacent to each school. Blankets of green welcome newcomers on the climb to the buildings- where redwood trees take turns providing shade for staff and students alike. Wander through this institution of... More

UCSC is a beautiful California campus. Set high up on a hill overlooking the water and surrounded by meadow and redwoods, it is one of the loveliest college campuses I've ever seen.

There is a winding street that runs through this campus set in the hills. There are trails to walk and ride bikes through.

Lovely lovely university situated in the middle of a forest. Modern design intertwined in the woods, just amazingly beautiful and encourages exercise due to the distance...
