It was my first visit to CA's Great America. How I remember this park when it featured on the movie, "Beverly Hills Cop III", under the name, "Wonder World". I paid a friend of mine a visit and planned a Saturday visit to the theme park. I'm a Platinum Passholder for Knott's Berry Farm, and one of the biggest perks... More

We ended up in the middle of a very intense situation while waiting for the Gold Striker. Two kids were cutting the line and telling people to "Calm down, B#*%*" when they tried to stop them. The first kids let three more kids in at the emergency exit and the situation quickly intensified. The kids were using very foul language... More

Had a lot of fun at Great America with my kids but was surprised that the park was not bigger. The best part of the park was all the water rides and water attractions for the little kids. I wish I had worn my bathing suit would have spent more time swimming and less time waiting in long lines for... More

As the summer is winding down, found the only day we could visit was on a Sunday. We arrived as the park opened to find long lines to get in. Once inside we were able to ride 3 rides fairly quickly then the crowds began to arrive. Everyone lines....for the bathroom, food or drink, and attractions. Waited over an hour... More

Love that you get 2 parks for the price of 1. There are the ride attractions and the water park. Have the gold season pass-got a great deal early summer online. The season pass gold gets discounts at certain food places and certain stores. Every penny counts. The games now use a prepaid game card I guess easier than fiddling... More

Stopped here on the way to Disneyland. But never made it to Disneyland! GA has tons of rides. 6 or 7 major roller coaster rides. My 11yr old grandson went on his first ever roller coaster ride here..."the demon". Three times in a row. After paying entry at the front gate, walk to the left one feet. And for an... More

If you go to Great America this summer make sure you see the production of "40 seasons of summer." It is at times a fast-paced high energy 27 minute dancing/singing tribute to the 40 year history of Great America that chronicles hit songs from each of those four decades. The choreography, song selection, story telling, sound quality and most importantly... More

Great America has and always will be one of the best amusement parks in the Bay Area. Boomerang Bay (water park) and Planet Snoopy are great places for the little ones. There are also crazy water slides for older kids at Boomerang Bay. But the reason to go to Great America is for the awesome roller coasters. Our favorites are... More

OK, the park is 40 years old and is starting to show it's age. There are plenty of thrill rides to keep the teens and kids happy. The water park is a great addition. We went on a Tuesday and the place was very light of guests. You never had to wait more than 20 minutes to ride anything. Sometimes... More
