We come to Santa Barbara at least once a year and the Farmers Market never disappoints, awesome selection of fruits and vegetables, fresh cut flowers, and plants. This is a certified organic farmers market.

A pleasant market, lots of vendors. Some prices fair, others a bit high (but typical for farmers' markets & California, where everything is expensive). I will return but was disappointed by two vendors. One over-charged me (claimed my three very small peaches weighed a pound!), another I mistakenly gave a 20 dollar bill and two singles to instead of three... More

The Saturday Farmers market is our source for trusted organic greens, fruit, honey and flowers. Not everything is organic, so if that is important to you ask. Remember that there is a difference between organic, organic certified and pesticide free. Organics can be sprayed with organic pesticides. In any case you can enjoy the market and know you are helping... More

It does not get much better than this. This time in transit journey so I could not fill the bag with primeur vegetables and much else that attracts along State Street this Tuesday. Is there anything better than filling your market basket with these eye-popping vegetables.Happy are you who live here.

Even without the need to buy something highly recommended. You will find lots of locally grown products there (many of the organic).

Just the smell of the citrus brought me (visiting Michigander)--such joy! Don't miss this Saturday and Tuesday treat.

What an amazing feast for the eyes, the nose and the palate. Such variety, such quality, and amazing value compared with Gelson's or Lazy Acres. Yes, their produce is good, but the farmers' market trumps them! And what friendly stallholders too.

The farmers market changes locations everyday, so be sure to check the schedule on their website. We visited on a Sunday morning, when it was in Goleta at the Camino Real Shopping Center. It wasn't that large (just a row of stalls), but they obviously aim for quality over quantity. In addition to fruits and vegetables, there are also flowers,... More

Beautiful way to start your Saturday in SB. Local farmers and growers selling veggies, almonds, dates, persimmons, flowers, cheese and some prepared offerings like Jams and salsa. Note that pets are not allowed in the market area. Most offerings are organic and the sellers happy to offer samples or help you make selections.
