A perfect two days. Laurence provided a two day private cooking class for us and the whole experience was remarkable. After a farmers market shopping extravaganza where we learned about many local and seasonable offerings, we moved to the kitchen and created an incredible classic French lunch. We also prepped for the next day. Day two was equally amazing culminating with a perfect dinner, great wine, and great conversation. Fun, educational, and a culinary delight. We recommend Laurence as a remarkable chef and instructor.

My husband surprised me with this wonderful experience on our trip to Santa Barbara. Spending the day with Laurence was loads of fun and such an education in all things FOOD. We picked out a whole johnny bass at the fisherman's docks and then had a visual overload at the farmers market picking out the remaining ingredients for our feast. Preparing the meal in Laurence's private home was such a treat and we learned a lot from Chef. We plan to make a date to try another one of her foray's in the near future. If you love to cook do not miss this! Each bite was a delight.

We signed up for Market Forays on our recent visit to Santa Barbara. It was such a fun day and we learned so much. At the farmers market, we walked around and sampled all sorts of things, including several that I'd never tried before. We learned all sorts of things that will be very useful at home. Then we visited a cheese shop where we sampled several cheeses and learned about them. We spent the afternoon in Laurence's kitchen, where we not only learned about cooking but also lots of helpful prep tips. We had multiple courses, all paired with wines. The food was amazing and Laurence was a wonderful host. My husband is not someone who loves to cook - and he loved the day. It was one of the things we've most enjoyed of all the places we've traveled.

Our day with Laurence was wonderful... The day started at the harbor, where we met local fishermen and sampled some of the mornings catch. Fresh caught Sea Urchin....that was a first for me and it was so delicious! We were then off to the farmers market to gather produce and mussels for our meal. The Santa Barbara farmers market is amazing. The produce is fresh and vibrant. It's like a work of art the way everything is displayed. Next stop the cheese shop, "C'est Cheese". There we sampled several cheeses and Laurence chose a selection for our cheese course. Our last stop was Laurence's beautiful home, so inviting and lovely. There in her perfect kitchen, we prepped and cooked an amazing meal. The meal she had planned for our class was seasonal, local and delicious. Laurence is a wonderful teacher and chef. I so enjoyed spending the day with her. Thank you Laurence for sharing your knowledge and love of food with us.

A wonderful day! The day starts with meeting on the pier to shop for fresh "off the boat" seafood then off to the farmers market for some of the most beautiful fruits and vegetables. Next stop, Laurence's lovely home for prep and cooking. She is a wonderful teacher and host. A great day with a super group of people. BOOK IT!!
