The Pacific Ocean is one of my favorite places and this is THE PLACE to soak in the California sun - a walk on the beach or on the cliff - peaceful and magnificent.

Shoreline Park provides a beautiful view of the coast in and near Santa Barbara. There is a great path for walking near the shore. While we didn't get in the water, it's also clearly a very popular area for surfing and SUP. Note: while there is paid parking down near the restaurants and marina, just up the hill is a... More

Had a wander around here and fully enjoyed it. Have to keep an eye out for cyclists as there seemed to be many around but not a problem. Easy walk on a smooth path. Great views of the ocean

A recent trip to CA and old haunts was very disappointing, including Shoreline, we used to go on pleasant evening walks here in the 90's, now it is being overbuilt, construction going on everywhere, dirty beaches, fenced off areas, not exactly a vacationy place to go, and yeas, try and find parking...

Shoreline park is One in 1 million. It is a nice walk on a bike path that runs a along a cliff overlooking the Pacific ocean. Once you get to the end of shoreline park you have an overview of the Santa Barbara coastline. It is a fantastic place to walk your dog, also bring your kids for the playground.... More

This is the main beach walk/bike for the city of Santa Barbara. It goes from east beach up to Leadbetter beach passing the Stearns wharf and state street. On weekends there are usually many craft/artist/... booths with very nice things. There are volley ball courts and informal restaurants at both east beach and Leadbetter beach and, of course, Stearns wharf... More

This is a delightful walk, high above the ocean and delivering panoramic views of surfers, porpoises and the grand view of the coastline. Table available to enjoy a picnic and dogs are permitted on leash

The view here is gorgeous - especially at sunset. However, if you take the steps to the beach below, be careful. Recent storms have removed the sand from the beach, so it is covered in rocks and boulders.
