Created a few decades ago, the "New" Paseo is a wonderful collection of shops and restaurants from candy to cinema, from sunglasses to sumptuous cuisine. The holiday decorations are wonderful but it is beautiful at any time. There is subterranean parking that allows you to come up into the Paseo.

The mall has a good mix of stores - a lot of familiar ones. We found a good Hawaiian shave ice shop. They actually have ample parking but if you miss the right street to enter, its difficult to get back to it due to all the one way streets. One issue we had was that they were fixing the walkway between shops on one side and they had such a narrow walkway that when a woman in an electric wheel chair needed to come through, we had barely any space to get out of the way. There are bathrooms on the very top and they were clean.

The same stores that are in pretty much every mall. The rent here is so high it is hard for a stand alone to make it. It is a very comfortable and attractive mall and it is centrally located on State street so you can enter at one end and it loops around in a semi circle kind of way so you can come out not too far up the street. I imagine every tourist who comes to town visits here so you will probably too, especially if shopping at well known stores appeals to you. State street used to have a lot of mom and pop stores but they have a hard time affording the cost so if you like more unique stores you will need to get off of the main drag.

I love going to the paseo nuevo theatre and we always stop by Sees candies to get some goodies before the movie.

We didn't come back here after our city tour. It's one of the many places in San Sebastian to walk. Our hotel was a little distance from here so we walked closer to the beach area which also has great shops.

We were given a recommendation to this restaurant by a local. He said they had a good variety of seafood. That turned out to be inaccurate. There was a variety of local fish and the local fish was well prepared

... and there are not a lot of malls and stores to chose from in Santa Barbara, as shopping goes. Paseo Nuevo itself is charming- just off State Street and built to the local codes that require Spanish style architecture in the area. It's a nice wander, and you can also enjoy adjacent restaurants and faster food places. The stores themselves are largely chains- Nordstrom anchoring on end and Macy's the other. Between them lie Victoria's Secret, Sephora, Gap and Gap Kids, Teavana, Bath and Body Works and the like, found in malls all over Southern California if not further. During the holidays and Fiesta, performances of choirs or Spanish dancers enhance the ambiance. Worth a stroll through, perhaps a couple hours for the shoppers, but you may not come up with anything unique.

Nice outdoor shopping area. We found street parking free for 75 minutes. There are many other shops and bar/restaurants in adjacent streets too.

This is a very small outdoor type mall. If you needed something that you forgot to pack you could find it. There is a small Nordstrom's-it is very nice, but again small. There were some other small stores, some not open during normal business hours. The mall was not crowded at all, we were able to get around pretty quickly. For a quick shopping trip for something specific, it is great. If you were shopping just to shop I would not recommend it.
