This tour was so much more than we expected and we can’t wait to do it again. We arranged for pickup in Solvang and Karina did a great job communicating approximate time of arrival. After a brief introduction and the new normal 2020 prep (sanitizer, elbow bump, face mask) we jumped in where we met 4 more people. There were 7 people total on the trip and the 3 of us sat in the back bench seat and not once did we feel crowded or uncomfortable, we are from WI so not small people, ha. We visited 3 beautiful wineries that were all unique and places we wouldn’t see if we were not on this tour. Each winery we went to felt like a gathering with friends, drinking wine in a beautiful location while listening to one of the friends tells cool stories about the history of the vineyard. It isn’t your typical practiced sales pitch. You get to talk “hang out” with the family all while enjoying fabulous wine. We can’t imagine going back to Solvang now and going on the commercial tours knowing what we know now about Sustainable Tours. Not only does the tour take you to private places you also receive a fantastic lunch that you get to enjoy in one of the beautiful locations and the best part for us was Karina, our guide, chauffeur, chaperone, DD, encyclopedia, sushi hoarder and friend, the one who took us around and was very knowledgeable and very friendly.
