This is the second visit; and well worth it if you are an orchid fan. The people let you walk through the green houses on your own. You can purchase orchids and have them shipped. The person at the site was very well versed in orchids. A fun, simple time.

Only over 1,00 different species of orchids. Pretty amazing for a Missouri native. This is a nursery with very helpful workers everywhere you turn.

I was told they have the most varieties in the world, which I am sure is true, though many if not most were not in bloom. I did, however, love the orchids that were in bloom. Pricey for my pocketbook, but since I was told they go all over the world to find them I am sure they are worth... More

A must see for orchid lovers. An amazing collection and variety of orchids, always a bunch blooming. Good orchids are expensive, so if you want to buy keep that in mind. This was my second trip there, and it was just as wonderful as the first.

We stopped in this morning and have never seen so many orchids. We didnt know that some have a wonderful scent. Wayne helped us pick out a couple for our particular growing situation. The staff was very helpful and we were really wowed

This was one of the most precious and lush nurseries ever been to. All the orchids were gorgeous and so many of them deserved their own picture. The ladies who ran the nursery were very inviting and warm, plus extremely informative. No matter what your price range is there is an orchid for you and many beautiful plants and flowers... More

We went here with another couple, expecting to see some nice orchids. We were unprepared for the variety and vast number of orchids they had. They also have orchids for purchase and we wished we could buy some...just couldn't figure out how to get them back home on a plane. There is no charge for admission and most of the... More

If you are an orchid liver then this is a place not to be missed. There is a bewildering number of different kinds each of which has their own charm. It is easy to get to and admission is free although you will likely leave with an orchid of you choice.

If you love orchids and/or want to be enchanted by them then this is the place to go to. The sheer size of the place is amazing and the quantity and selection of plants is mind boggling. The owners of the place, who we spent a little bit of time with, are wonderful to talk with and their devotion to... More

Santa Barbara Orchid Estate is aptly located on Orchid Drive in Goleta. The drive there is both beautiful and hilly, go to Patterson exit and turn towards the ocean, then go about 2 miles south, after 3 speed bumps on the left.....voila! It is home to the largest and well known orchid species and hybrids. There are rows, rows and... More
