Recommend stopping here for sure if doing wine tasting in the area. They have charm and personality. The ladies pouring were super friendly, as were the cats - Thelma and Louise. The tasting room is inviting and has local art for sale as well. They are very educational when pouring your wine, letting you know the vineyards and what tastes one should be experiencing. Really enjoyed it, and bought some wine to have shipped back home. Which by the way came in less than 5 days for around $10. The scenery and seating outside is a great place to enjoy your wine or have a picnic. Don't miss Lafond. Ps. They also have a tasting room in the Santa Barbara Funk Zone which we did not visit.

I've been a member of LaFond Winery for many many years now and the opening of a tasting room in SB is refreshing in a sea of mediocrity - which is ironic for Santa Barbara - since there are so many great wineries within a short drive. I'm mainly a red drinker and the Pinots and Syrahs are fantastic, but chards are great and recommend a Pinot Clone 777 if they have em. I really like the tasting room over the hill, but they did a nice job on the place and the folks were very friendly. Make it a stop on your tour.

A good friend that we know loves good wine recommended us to visit LaFond.

Not easy to find, and way out on Santa Rosa Road in Lompoc. Wow - was it worth the visit! The tasting room is beautifully designed by the winery owner/architect - Pierre LaFond.

Of the five wines on the tasting list - I loved each one! That's a rarity - even at the best wineries, I usually only like two or three out of five at most. It means that my taste (not necessarily yours of course) is in sync with the winemaker.

Try Lafond - there are worth the visit and the tasting room staff are super welcoming, knowledgeable and have a great sense of humor!

This winery was recommended by our tour guide and it was a very pleasant surprise! This is a hidden gem that has amazing chardonnay and a neat outdoor seating area. If you are in the area, you must add this to your list!

Great drive in the hill to a great destination with good wine and gourmet items. The wine stewards were very helpful and informative.

If, like us, you are in the Solvang or Buellton area take the time to go to the other side of Route 101, drive 5 miles or so and visit the winery. The setting is beautiful, there is plenty of parking, the people here are great and very helpful.

I am normally a red wine drinker, but the white wines here are some of the best I have ever tasted! They are crisp, fruity, and perfectly balanced. The Pinot Noir is a little later than I am used to, but good. The Syrah was a very pleasant surprise which I highly recommend.

A visit here is definitely worth the extra little drive!

My wife and I stopped by here on our way to Buellton and had a great time. Jeneanne was incredibly knowledgeable and poured us a number of fantastic wines. The pinots were great, especially the Martin Ray, but the syrah and chard were also delicious.

Great wines, fun time, and you get to keep the glass.

We spent the afternoon at this winery and felt that we were treated like royalty. The wines were very good especially the Pinot Noir Snta Rita Hills 2012. Relaxing and nice seating area. Wish there was a place outside.

To be honest I did not taste the wines a this location. It was Veterans weekend, and being a Vet I asked if they provided military discounts, the woman behind the counter gave me the once over and, literally, said "pfft, no." I had no problem paying for a tasting I just did not like the way she spoke to me.

The previous day we were in Los Olivos and EVERY WINERY we visited was providing free tastings to vets.
