This was our first time ever doing a food tour and I have to say that it was amazing! The food was delicious. The town was amazingly beautiful. It’s so calm and very relaxing. Our tour guide, Bridget, was very knowledgeable of Solvang. She was great at explaining the whole history of how Solvang came to be. She also showed us some really cool landmarks there. GREAT TOUR GUIDE ! If you are ever in the Santa Barbara area or in the Solvang I highly recommend you do the tour. You won’t regret it.

I’ve been on several food tours...some great, some not so much. This one I really loved. Went with my four sisters and there was one other couple with us. Great group size, fun and informative guide. My one sister is a strict vegan and every stop accommodated her. Plenty of alcoholic options and pairings if you like that. LOVED the lobster bisque at Enterprise Fish Company and the vegan spring rolls at Tyger Tyger were amazing. Oh, and can’t forget the sweet potato tacos at Mony’s Mexican Food...yum! Good variety of local area info and history mixed in with really good food and drink options. Highly recommend

My husband and I wanted to see Solvang and get some history. This was the perfect activity for that! Not only did we get multiple (and generous) portions, but we got to learn about the danish culture and some amazing landmarks. With food, alcohol, and history, how can you go wrong? Tara was our guide and was great and funny! Awesome day! Would recommend!

Enjoyed the small group food & wine tour of the Funk zone with Kim and Christy. It was nice to meet other travelers and sample the fabulous SB cuisine and beverages. The lobster bisque from the Enterprise Fish Company and the Thai shrimp wraps from Tiger Tiger were my favorite. Both red & white wines from the SB Wine Collective were appealing. I highly recommend this tour for foodies who enjoy tasting what local restaurants have to offer.

Good friend and I spent several days in beautiful Santa Barbara. Our Eat This, Shoot That! tour started at Enterprise Fish Co. where we sampled lobster bisque! MMMMMMM! Along with tasting great food and sipping great wines, our tour guides showed us how to take great snapshots of our food and drink with our smart phones. We then walked to the Funk Zone - a unique corner of Santa Barbara filled with art studios, wineries, breweries and GREAT food! We sampled a Danish Red Lager at Figueroa Mountain Brewery. Refreshingly delicious. Street tacos at Mony's Mexican Food - very good! Yummy bread board, etc and delicious wines at Helena Avenue Bakery. Pizza at Lucky Penny (great ambiance)! The Shalhoob Meat Company will whet your appetite with a tri-tip slider on homemade bread - tender and delicious! Flavored popcorn from Santa Barbara Popcorn Company. Our tour guides, Kimmie and JJ, were outstanding, funny, and informative about the Funk Zone's history. Do not miss this tour! Amazing food, brews and wines!

I have enjoyed several walking food tours in different cities, but the Eat This, Shoot That! tour of Santa Barbara's Funk Zone added a new twist and made for a great afternoon excursion. While the area is not huge, there was plenty to enjoy for a three hour walk around the area. The fun twist with this tour was we were given very helpful tips and suggestions about how to snap pics of our food with our cell phones as we we stopped at each venue. The food mix was fun- everything from street food to a sampling in a sit down place, and included a brew pub, a distillery and a wine tasting. The guide was friendly and helpful with camera tips, and pointed out art and landmarks along the way. While the tour lasted a few hours, it was an easy walk within a small area with many stops, so this tour is suitable for most people.

I had a wonderful time on the Eat This, Shoot That Funk Zone Food & Photo Tour! Our tour guides Sarah and Tara were absolutely knowledgeable about the Funk Zone. It was refreshing three hours tasting delicious food and drink while looking at the eclectic art around the neighborhood. We spent a reasonable amount of time (about 15 minutes) at each stop where you learn a bit more about the beginnings of each restaurant or winery. You also get nifty tricks about how to photograph your tasty treats. Now you can be an iPhone (or Android) whiz when it comes to taking pictures of your food! Since there are some stops at local breweries and wineries, I wouldn't encourage to bring the tots along to this one. But I would definitely recommend this tour to locals or tourists alike. I had a great time!

Our group had been to Santa Barbara several times so we were looking for something a little different. Tara delivered! So much history and fun facts (and wine!) in such a small area! My mother is a spry 80-year old, but a lot of walking didn't interest her; the wine and food venues were well chosen, perfectly spaced and of course, delicious. The camera tips were eye opening and I've used at least one with every picture I've taken since the tour. Tara was so personable and accommodating (we were late, but all was resolved with a quick phone call); a knowledgeable and flexible guide. Highly recommended!

I am a Santa Barbara local. I have shown my friends around this gorgeous city many times. I have taken them to dine, drink and see the hot spots, but nothing I have done for them or with them has ever compared to this tour. It was education made fun (I hate the long lecture sort of tours) this was quick paced give you the cool, interesting, fun facts and keep moving on sort of tour. It was engaging. It ebbed and flowed effortlessly. The stops on the tour were well planned- you weren't too full or too tipsy, you had just enough time, but not too much to be clock watching and dying for the next destination. It was the perfect amount of Santa Barbara hidden gems with the local front of the line, we take care of our own sort of vibe, that most wouldn't get without the tour guide insights and relationships. If you are in SB for days or even hours I would 100% recommend Tara and her team to show you around and give you a locals experience but in tour form.
