This is a wonderful experience to enjoy with children of all ages. Rent a "group" type family bike and take grandparents along. Not for city streets, but this bike path is safe and fun.

Hop on a bike and enjoy the view of the beach, ocean and sailboats. Make sure you stop at the Shoreline Cafe for drinks at the end of the day.

A great way to see the beach in Santa Barbara. It starts at the bird sanctuary & goes to Shoreline park. Great on Sunday to see the art displays.

The Bike Path along Carrillo and the Coastal shoreline was very well used NYE weekend, despite the crummy weather. The lane was quite wide, very well marked and provided plenty of room for cars to navigate around the cyclists w/o disrupting the flow of traffic....More

Bike paths on Santa Barbara coastline are beautiful and the Cabrillo path is the best. If traffic concerns you this might bother you, but I have ridden it many times with no problems.

Perfect way of site seeing. The bike path was great.. it's nicely paved, easily to follow, and never too crowded. It's right by the ocean, so as you ride you get the most gorgeous views on both sides- mountains, and ocean. It's such a relaxing...More

Beautiful well maintained walk with easy access to beach and pier. Stay on beach side of road as inland side does not have continuous sidewalk. Light at night is adequate for seeing your way.

I noticed several but unfortunately I don't recall which ones. There are bike rentals around. I'd check the hotels flanking Carrillo and in a couple blocks and cal or check web sites under "hotel amenities". Good luck. It's... More

If you can se the previous answer, I concur. Wheels of fun is up State St. near the Cabrillo Blvd. area, which is the street running parallel to the beach near the wharf. It's wheely fun! 1.2 and 4 passenger bicycles... More
