We booked first class tickets on the 1.5 hour sunset cruise on Azure Seas departing from Stearns Wharf. The boat was operating at half capacity due to Covid. We loved the expansive views from the upper deck! Our captain managed to find us a pod of dolphins and sea lions, which was incredible. And the sunset was off the charts! The whole experience was perfectly timed. Special shout out to Jake who was so personable and offered to take photos for everyone. A worthwhile, great-value experience!

It sounds like you had an incredible time, and really had the opportunity to enjoy Santa Barbara and all that it has to offer. It is beautiful down here, and I am so glad that you were able to enjoy it from the best seat in town. The fact that you saw dolphins must have been one of the highlights on the cruise! I still get so excited whenever I see dolphins on board. They are just so cool! Hopefully we will see you soon, especially with Whale Watching right around the corner. Our tours begin late February and stretch till early May for their migration through SB, and that is something you don't want to miss! Stay safe, and thank you again Jamie!

We lucked out! We were nearing the end of our Sunset Cruise when the captain told us there was a whale ahead of us. He steered the boat to a great spot so we could see the beautiful sunset and whale at the same time. We very much enjoyed the sunset cruise, however the tiny drinks they serve are kind of a joke.

Hi Monika! That is amazing!! I am so thrilled that you were able to see a whale during your sunset cruise. We see them almost on every cruise during whale watching season (Mid- February to Mid-May) and hardly ever during our off-season. Without a doubt, I would say that you had an evening for the books! Hopefully, the next time you are with us during off-season, another whale makes a special appearance!

My family and I just rented the sunset time for Whisper last night. It was a relaxing 1.5 hr ride in the harbor. We brought our own wine with some snacks to enjoy while aboard. The entire ride was completely smooth and peaceful. My family (ages: 29, 36, 66, 66) and I were provided really cool bits of information on the boats in the harbor and the people who own them by our Captain, Fred. Fred is the perfect Captain. He’s knowledgeable and friendly and has a great sense of humor.
We escaped the LA area for my birthday and turned it into an overnight mini vacation to recharge our batteries. We all agreed that not only escaping for an extra day become a new annual tradition, but so will this boat charter. It was exactly what we all needed and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Our group of 6 had eaten at Brophy Brothers and saw this boat depart. I booked it online for two days later and it was the highlight of our trip!! Captain Charlie is a local and answered all our questions about the area.
When booking, I added stemless wine glasses at $1.50 each and confirmed we could bring our own wine bottle. We booked the hour cruise on the Whisper for 12:30pm so we ate lunch at Brophy brother’s alley location prior to departure. I recommend the chowder - fish and chips and calamari and bloody mary’s if you’d like a cocktail.
The cruise was a nice way to get out on the water and learn more about the area. We even saw some marine life too!

We took a private sunset cruise on The Whisper with Captain Mike. It was absolutely perfect. Captain Mike had the boat pristine clean. He has been on the seas forever and knows all kinds of history about everything nautical in the area. He was very entertaining. We were honoring a loved one and when we asked to do that he played us the music that we requested and gave us our space to grieve. He was so kind and caring making this an exceptional experience that we will forever hold in our hearts. This is a great experience for any type of event or celebration or just for a fun time around the harbor, I highly recommend.

On their website they allow only 10 persons in the upper deck for the social distancing but there were actually 12 persons which it didn’t bother me.
We loved the cruise. It was beautiful and we had a chance to watch groups of dolphins. It is like an hour and half cruise. So you don’t get bored and in the same time you have enough enjoyment. The crew was friendly and they provided a good friendly service. I recommend the cruise for everyone visiting Santa Barbara.

Thank you for the review! When we first reopened following the stay at home orders, our maximum for our upper deck was 10 passengers. As certain rules and regulations changed, we were able to increase that amount to 12 passengers. We apologize that it was not updated on a few places on our websites and it has been corrected! Any cruise with dolphins is a very special one and we will pass on your compliments to the crew. Thank you for the recommendation as we hope to see you soon!

From the start this experience was so good ! The boat was really clean and luxurious and had so much space. We paid for upper deck tickets and would really recommend as I feel like it’s a very personalised experience. Even though I had to go 3 times (as the first two times we had no whale sightings) the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating making sure we always got the chance to come back again and add tickets for extra people. If you’re in Santa Barbara I would 100% recommend for the boat experience enough- even if you don’t see any whales !

Such a fun thing to do with family and friends. My friends and I ended up doing the top deck (21+) the bar was a great touch and overall we had a fantastic experience! Honesty, it’s a super affordable thing to do when you just want to be out at the beach and sight see. The crew is very kind and professional! I’d definitely recommend it to anyone stopping by Santa Barbara or even locals who just want to spend an hour on a cool boat.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Celebration Cruise in Santa Barbara! From the moment we stepped on board, the crew made us feel like VIPs. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the beautifully decorated ship to the delicious gourmet meals served on deck. The stunning views of the coastline and sunset were truly breathtaking. The crew's friendliness and professionalism added to the overall enjoyment of the trip. I would highly recommend Celebration Cruise for anyone looking to have a memorable and joyful time on the water.

Highly recommend this one hour boat ride around SB harbor! Relaxing and informative. For 20-25 bucks you get a narrated ride around and the views were spectacular. We enjoyed the seafood on the pier before our cruise.

The Azure boat is a cruiser (versus a zodiac) so there would be room. But as essexlady indicated, you need to verify with the company if they allow any animal besides a certified service animal.

The ride I took was very relaxing, low key and family friendly. My friend and I had a nice coffee on board, others were having soda, water and maybe one or two people perhaps had a beer. Had a nature feel not a party cruise feel. 👍🏻😊Would definitely take kids, grandparents, etc.
