We booked at very short notice and were part of a group of 5 plus guide. We felt we got what we were expecting and quite a bit more from our guide who proved to be very knowledgeable about the are and its wildlife as well as getting our wine visits in place. He also organised our lunch with a minimum of fuss and bother. If we get to visit the area again we would use them again but try to ensure we visited some different wineries.
A great day out.

Great way to drink and not have to drive. The jeep picks you up from your hotel and whisks you away to 4 wineries. At the first stop, you are given your own wine glass which is nice. The tasting fees are included, which run from $5 to $10 at most places. We took a very bumpy (but fun) ride to this place, if you get car sick easily, this might not be the choice for you. Our first stop was Kalyra, nice white wines here, and friendly staff. Next up was Bridalwood. While we were wine tasting, our guide went to Panino's to pick up our lunch order which was also included in the price. GREAT sandwiches! We ate outdoors at Bridalwood. Then we were off to a tasting room in Los Olivos, Tensley. Loved this place and will definitely go back again. Our last stop was in Solvang, a tasting room "Sort this Out Cellars". Nice place as well. It was pretty warm when we started out, but by 4:30 or so when we headed back it was pretty cool and fogged in an you could see very little. Blankets are provided, but you might want to bring a jacket.

We booked a wine tour with Cloud Climbers at the last minute, it was the best money spent in California so far! Our guide Michelle was a blast, knew the area well and took excellent care of us. They pick you up and drop you off at the end of the tour, you visit 3 different wineries and an olive plantation where you can try some olive oils out, and provide a sandwich or salad lunch that they pick up through a local restaurant, was delicious.

Instead of reading this review, you should be booking your next tour with Cloud Climbers. Ask for Michelle you won't be disappointed!

Our daughter and son in law bought us this for a Christmas gift and they really picked the best one!. Logan picked the perfect wineries for my husband and I to visit, small quaint and off the beaten track just like we asked. They were great, we loved the tastings. Even got to meet the Saaluus family in person while we ate our lunch at the back of their vineyard. Then we went over the mountain on the back roads like a real jeep excursion, I think Logan even hit a few potholes just for us. The view was stunning from the top of the mtn. Logan knew many of the residents and so much about the county he grew up in, we loved hearing about the towns. We have told many of our friends they must do this when they visit the Santa Barbara Area. Great adventure! Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and make this adventure just for us.

We had never been on a group wine tour before and this was a fantastic experience. Logan, our tour guide was very knowledgeable, very nice, very funny and a wonderful host. We will definitely be coming back, next time with a group of friends to fill his jeep with fun-loving wine enthusiasts just like us.

This tour was fantastic! Our guide was great, so well mannered and provided great service. He selected wineries based on the preferences of the guests. The small group (6) was perfect. The lunch was great and the wineries greg, our guide, selected were perfect. This was a fantastic and totally enjoyable way to spend the day. Highly recommended!!

The vineyards tour with our guide Greg was thoroughly enjoyable. Greg was very attentive to each of his guests and with me being in an air cast and Bob walking with a cane, he was especially considerate. He made certain it was easy for us getting in and out of the jeep as well as guiding us to the best walkways at each stop. The lunch we were served was excellent. Greg was also very knowledgeable about the area and the places we explored, sharing with us the history, geography and habitat all along our trip. We had a special treat in visiting an olive oil farm for tasting and coming down the old stagecoach road on the return to Santa Barbara. I would highly recommend the tour and look forward to enjoying it again when we come next October.

The other reviews are spot on; this is the best way to go wine tasting. John was our guide and is truly top notch. Prior to the first tasting of the day he gave us the 5 rules to wine tasting...and of course we tried to break them all (except for the one about not dumping the bucket over your head...that's just disgusting)! John is quick-witted and extremely knowledgeable of the area and wine. The places we visited were all boutique spots that are totally approachable. We finished the day by driving back to Santa Barbara via the Old Wagon Trail road. I would dare you to find a better way to go wine tasting, but you probably can't find one. So do the smart thing: book Cloud Climbers to drive you on your next wine tasting in the Paso Robles or Santa Ynez areas.

From beginning to end, Cloud Climbers Jeep tours ensured we had a great time. They arrived outside our accommodations in Santa Barbara and proceeded into the mountains, giving us an interesting narration of history and geography. The jeep provided a rustic adventure to the tour, something unique to Cloud Climbers.

We stopped to pick up another couple before continuing to Kalyra, our first stop. We were each provided our own personal wine glass for tasting. The wines were wonderful and pours were substantial! My only regret was that I didn't take notes as I couldn't remember which wines I preferred.

In total we visited 4 wineries and had a lovely gourmet sandwich lunch in a scenic picnic area. It was quite a lot of wine (if you swallow it all) to have in such a short period of time, but it was very enjoyable.

I highly recommend this company and would take another tour in a heartbeat.
