As soon as we entered their facility we were greeted warmly by the front manager. He was friendly and well mannered. He answered all of our questions even though it would all have been answered during the orientation anyway. He was patient and realized our anxiety since this was our first time on the Segwey. I was most concerned about my parents were both in their late 60s.

As soon as we were done with the orientation video we received a training session with Tim our tour guide. Both him and the manager helped us get used to handling the Segwey. They were both very calm and very professional in the way they handled the training. We were a group of six ranging between ages 10 through 71 and they were able to speak to each one of us at our ability and comfort level. They stayed positive throughout the training, which was quite nerve wrecking at first, then exciting and exhilirating once we understood how to handle our nervousness.

The best part of the whole experience is really in how well the team managed to make us feel safe and comfortable throughout the orientation, training, and tour. If I were ever back in Santa Barbara again I will definitely go back to Segwey of Santa Barbara for their other tours. I have already recommended them highly to other friends and family members.

If you are ever in Santa Barbara you have to try them out. It is an experience that you will never forget but always appreciate! I recommend you bring a sweater or jacket if doing the evening/late afternoon tour and that you wear good comfortable shoes. The beaches are cool in the evening and you will bre standing for quite a while.

Worth every penny!

We were really glad to find a fun way to for our family get outside and enjoy a beautiful day on the coast, while keeping safe with social distancing. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the city and historical sites, and kept us entertained while we cruised around on our Segways. We did a beach tour, and really enjoyed the views. Our guide stopped to let us take photos at a couple spots along the way. There is a brief orientation to be sure everyone is safe and comfortable on the Segways before we could go. Concerns for safety during this reopening time, were all covered. During the orientation, and at times when we would stop for a break, we would wear our face masks. They were optional while we were riding, although our guide wore his the whole time. We will always remember this day!

Took Segway tour on 04/10/21. Had thought about doing it with our group (above) without tour guide as I was a local resident for many years. Glad that we did take the Segway tour with the guide because of his knowledge of the area and his attentiveness to the variety of skill level within our group. Very surprising how enjoyable the ride on a Segway is and how quickly one can get around on these vehicles. Brief training at the start of the experience was outstanding. Many pedestrians along the way, all very interested in our Segway vehicles and also very polite even though it was a very busy Saturday in Santa Barbara. Recommend parking in city parking garage on Mason street and taking short walk to Segway shop on Gray street. Great way to experience Santa Barbara, especially the tour that is along the waterfront area and butterfly lane.

Tim gave my granddaughter and I a fabulous tour of the Santa Barbara beach areas on the Butterfly Beach tour. It actually lasted longer than the 2 hours but don’t tell anyone! He provided both historic and current stories of the buildings, landscape, and culture of Santa Barbara. Big goof on my part, I lost my phone on the trip and did not know it until returning to the hotel. The owner Andy is wife helped me locate it way down on Butterfly Lane as well as taking me there and back. Caring folks who go above and beyond to help travelers. Thanks for a GREAT experience!

Such a fun time! Tim was our tour guide and he made sure we had such a great experience and saw so much of Santa Barbara. He made sure we felt comfortable on the segways and also told us stories and the history of the city. If I ever visit again I will definitely come back to this tour!

It was a cold day in Santa Barbara and we were looking for something to do. This activity was perfect. We got to see areas we definitely would not have seen otherwise. Could hear the tour through headphones. Guide was super friendly - wish I could remember his name because I would thank him here - he did a good job of connecting with the teens yet not annoying them. He seemed to know what tourists would be most interested in learning about in SB. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had an absolutely delightful experience last week at Segway of Santa Barbara.

We had never been on a Segway and I was very apprehensive about being able to learn how to ride one. I want to give a huge shout-out to Tim for his patience and perseverance to help me overcome my apprehensions. He gave me a lot of time and individualized coaching so I could feel comfortable. Eventually, I got the hang of it and we took a guided tour with Tim. He did not rush us, gave us more than the scheduled time, was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the history of Santa Barbara. It is an experience we'll remember!!

I recommend Segway of Santa Barbara whole heartedly!!

We went to SB on this Memorial Day weekend and it was packed with people and vehicles. My family first took a stroll downtown earlier and loved the vibes of this town. Since we only plan to spend the afternoon/evening there, I found Segway in SB and booked a 2 hour tour before. At first, my little one wanted to bike around but I suggested to do Segway for the first time. Turned out it was a great experience for us all and he loved it 5 minutes after taking off. Not only it was fun to ride on it, the instructor and tour guide were very patient physically training us newbies even after the training video. We had a full 2-hour ride after that with the tour guide explaining the many spots we went to via live audio. She was very responsible (keep looking back and check on us if we were okay). She showed us the best photo spots around town (by the beach and up the hills overlooking the whole town) and gave us a decent history lesson about SB. She also suggested the dining places around town. The scenes we went to were just amazing with Segway with the tour guide. We wouldn’t have covered so much in 2 hours on our own by other means and will definitely come back for more.

We visited off-peak and were the only 2 on the tour. When i called about availability, they were willing to schedule their day around the timing of the tour we chose. Sam, our guide, was friendly, considerate, & informative. She did a great job of describing what we would see if it weren’t for the fog. Fun activity and i definitely recommend this tour company.
