This place is unique in the world and I can see why dozens of couples were here to get married in the exquisite rose gardens and classic California historic architecture. The tiled roof and beautiful fountains and tile work made for interesting viewing. Do not miss this beautiful place.

Lovely place, very stately and old fashioned although still in use. Lots of panels for tourists to read through and the architecture is really interesting, really worth half an hour of your time

Great place to start my trip. Panama a gives good feel for the whole city. Seeing an old court centre at work almost as good as those in London!

Fascinating murals depicting the American west in a really beautiful setting. It's worth heading up the the belltower for some amazing views of the surrounding area.

Great architecture, murals and view but there is more. Every Thursday the free newspaper - the Independent- puts out a calendar of the week's events. The paper is available all over town. At the courthouse is a sunken garden where there's are free movies, concerts, dance recitals and other activities. See the "Indy" for possible listing. And, as per a small... More

When visiting Santa Barbara, remember there is so much more than just the beach. One should make a brief stop by the old courthouse for a look at the beautiful Santa Barbara style architecture and the lovely grounds. It's right in the downtown area, just off the main drag. It's a quiet, peaceful location.

The Santa Barbara County Courthouse is a must see. "...a must see"?. Really. Yes really. The main attraction other than the spectacular grounds and courthouse mission style architecture, is the view from The Tower. This is amazing and open to the public. The Tower is well known locally, it's where you would take anyone visiting Santa Barbara to SEE Santa... More

For the best overall view in town be sure to visit the County Courthouse and take the elevator up to the top. Even better is to take the docent tour of the entire courthouse to learn all the history and details of this famous historical landmark.

This building is a treat to view...seriously gorgeous...take the elevator or walk to the top and you'll see a 360 degree view of the town, with its wonderful red roofs.
