Expected at least more art shops, cafes, etc...pretty run down although trying to start I guess. A couple bars, a bakery, & cafe. Go to the Bowers art museum instead.

We went at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon-- hardly anything was open. Big disappointment. The event on the first Saturday night of the month sounds cool, but other than that not worth it.

This walkable downtown village has become trendy with hip restaurants and cool unique boutiques. There's lots of art shops and art galleries and a big art gallery at the Cal State Art Center. Lots of the local boutiques specialize in California style art with bright colors and a slightly primitive bold style. There is a well respected street fair and art sale once a month but not when we were there.

Check out the trendy restaurants and take extra time to visit the Cal State Fullerton Grand Central Art Center. They have free programs and admission on First Saturdays.

Okay, I heard of this artist's village so I went to Santa Ana just to see what was there, and I honestly didn't see anything worth even stopping for. Disappointed but the drive was nice.

We ere going for dinner at Lola Gaspar's on 2nd st Santa Ana and were pleasantly surprised that there was an event. There were local artists displaying and selling their works, glee clubs performing on one end and a DJ on the other. Felt like a town fiesta. Mostly the young crowd, spending a nice night out.

We were excited to finally go to the Saturday evening affair. Great street band, the artist village was mostly like a small greet fair with mostly uninteresting items that can be found anywhere, Free parking...that was the highlight!

Was curious so friend and I attended a night walk event. It was fine but after all the hype from the City it was a let down. They have added some nice restaurants though.

First Saturday of every month is Art Walk and all doors are open, artists exhibit their work outside, food is everywhere. A nice time for artisans to come and experience the place.

Bohemian in nature. Someplace to go that is low key and very different. Reminiscent of the late 60s, I love that nothing matches inside the Gypsy Den. The food is homecooked. Service is very slow, so just go there expecting to spend a good amount of time. The experience is worth it. One of the few places that make good authentic Italian Cream Sodas, Tuna Casseroles and other comfort foods, and desserts from scratch.
