Took the grandkids to the Santa Ana Zoo (ages 3-8) They all loved it! Lots to see, touch and experience. They want to know when we are going again!

I really do not think this could be called a zoo. We only got to see a camel, a few monkeys, and 2 ant eaters. I think it was more barn yard animals. I am really glad we waited until 2p to go because it saved us $4. It seemed like everyone had that same idea.

Had a great time visiting this zoo. We arrived shortly before 2pm and the staff intially processed our entry fees, but then noticed the time and offered to cancel the transaction if we wanted to wait 15 minutes to save money on each ticket. We would have paid $51 for our group of 7, but only had to pay $30... More

This was a nice place for a quick visit. We arrived very late afternoon. The bathrooms were locked even though visitors were allowed to remain until 5 pm.

My wife and I helped out with chaperone my daughters kindergarten class on there end of school year field trip. This was our first visit here so we did not know what to expect with a bunch of 5 & 6 year olds but it was a very nice place to visit. Lots for kids to do and plenty of... More

I've lived in Santa Ana for years and 5 years ago I got a wonderful surprise. Our city has a fabulous zoo! My husband and I are oldsters and we visit this zoo quite often by ourselves. However, when in town, our grandchildren come with us. There is a train, carousel, delicious food, petting zoo and playground plus a wonderful... More

It was different than any zoo we have been to. We are not originally from California and this is the third zoo we've attended in this state. It has been the smallest zoo by far, not many different animals to see. Mostly bird and monkey enclosures. If you are looking for something very simple then I recommend this zoo. If... More

A great neighborhood zoo. Perfect for younger kids. My 10 and 11 year old are outgrowing it. There is a playground, carousel, train ride and gift shop also. There are also picnic areas nearby.

Nice variety of animals that look well cared for. The zoo is very clean and I like the gift shop's variety of items to buy.

Our First Grade decided to go to the Santa Ana Zoo for our Fieldtrip. We had a great time! Perfect size for this 6/7 age group. They had docents around the zoo which was nice as the kiddos got to learn special traits of monkeys, insects, reptiles and birds big like emu or smaller like the scarlet ibis. They have... More
