This zoo was great for us as we are from Australia so most animals seen in overseas zoos are new to us (Due to Australia's strict quarantine laws). The zoo seems to focus on smaller primates but also has some aviaries, insects and my boys favourite, the Giant anteaters. The food was simple but tasty and not too expensive. Entry... More

Do not expect elephants or any other large and exotic animals. This is a rather simple zoo. But it is perfect for children. Lots of monkeys, small animals, birds, etc. Easy walking paths, easy to see the animals and very clean and well kept. My little grandchildren loved it. And so did I. For a small fee you can ride... First to know is that the Santa Ana Zoo is not large and does not have many large animals, so don’t go expecting to see these or you will be disappointed. With this understanding, it is a very nice little community zoo with a large collection of primates and a few unusual animals. There are two rides and a third... More

I took my children here for many years and now that they are adults, I'm delighted to return to see the animals thru adult eyes. This mostly bird and monkey zoo is clean, well-organized, and educational. Thank you for going, as it maintains the lives of the animals, the jobs for the staff and the delight in the eyes of... They have done a wonderful job of presenting, tropical animals, and birds. Really good docents impart good information on attractions. They have several night things going on, boo at zoo for Halloween, star gazing, etc. that shouldn't be missed.

There is so much more here than you think! This is a great little zoo that you don't have to go too far to get too. The exhibits are awesome and it's nice that it's so open.

This is a small zoo but great for kids under 5. There are lots of primates and birds, a train and a carousel. We took our 18 month old grandson while the older kids were at Disneyland. He had a great time. Lunch is reasonably priced and made right there.

Took the Grandkids recently. They are 10 and 12. They were through it in a heartbeat. It is really geared toward the younger set.

This is a fun and cute little zoo in the city of Santa Ana. It won't take a lot of time to walk around and is great for a quick visit if you happen to be in the area and are looking for something lowkey. The zoo is chock full of monkeys along with meerkats and other assorted animals. Plus,... More

We were traveling with two grandchildren (3 and 5), We wanted to do something not to taxing as the children were still tired from the day before's activities. This was the perfect little zoo. It only took a few hours to walk the whole zoo. Lots of monkeys and smaller mammals. There were camels and anteaters but most of the... More
