This marvelously put together exhibit is most intriguing and informational. There are interactive stations to help you better understand the content of the exhibit. The free audio device provided background information to better help you appreciate what you were viewing.

Mummies are extraordinaire. The young children of school age will really have questions, no doubt. There is so much more history to see in this Museum; so be prepared to take your time. All the exhibits are outstanding! They have a gift shop with information and also great souvenirs. You can get discount tickets from Groupon, however I think the... More

We came specifically to see the mummy exhibit. My 10 year old enjoyed the learning experience. How often do we get to see an Egyptian sarcophagus and shrunken heads? It was also intriguing to view the mummified Inca sacrifices. It is amazing what modern technology can discover about the mummies on display. There are other exhibits also, Chinese art, a... More

The exhibit was "dead." Lol it was a great time spent about 2-3 hours there and saw everything went in the morning not to many people. But still it was a great experience. Just go and hang out. Great

The Terracotta Soldiers were very impressive!!! You could get right up close to them, unlike seeing them in China. The exhibit was mind blowing.

This a must-see exhibition that is both educational and emotionally gripping. Never before have so many mummified objects been seen in one place. The exhibits are laid out in a series of linked rooms with different themes while educational interactive screens allow the visitor to learn, both about scientific techniques used in analysis of the mummies but also about the... I went here as part of a yelp event. The grounds are beautiful. Parking appears to be free (we were there after hours). The Mummies exhibit was quite different than I expected, meaning there was more than Egyptian mummies. The process of mummification was explained as was burial practices. Mummy parties were quite disturbing- go and find out what I'm... More

The Bowers Museum is filled with amazing gems! I attend the Italian movies once a month. The exhibits are timely. The presentation always staged for the visitor. I enjoy lattes and meals at the restaurant. The gift shop is charming. Family activities and lectures make this a community center as well. I am a member and attend so many free... More

The Bowers is one of my favorite museums. I love the architecture and the landscape in the courtyard. There are always interesting collections or exhibits going on here and they are always beautifully curated. This is definitely a nice place to spend a couple of hours and you can have a fancy meal. A great place for the family to... More
