There is so much variety and quality at this market! I can always count on finding amazing fruits and veggies, plus the atmosphere is happy and fun. Great way to spend a few hours! Get there early for the best selection, and for the best parking!

A fine place to buy and sample the freshest produce. It is a Thursday and Sunday market. Peruse then buy. Easy to spend an hour there unless you zone in strictly on your shopping list. Parking is pretty easy and is adjacent to market both days. Lots of food stalls on Sunday for freshly prepared dishes. Best deals just before... More

If you like to cook, the obvious--fresh, organic, seasonal produce, which in Marin is a wide range year round. If you are visual, bring your camera--the displays of fruits, veggies, flowers, breads, pastries are inspiring. If you like to shop for regional, high quality crafts, come to the Sunday market for unique gifts and chat with the artisans. If you... More

I have been all over the country for farmers markets. The one in San rafeal is best in the country in my opinion . Fantastic in all seasons. A little something for everyone, great place for breakfast and some entertainment for the kids. I really look forward to the market every week.

What a great experience. Not only the freshest of produce but what a variety of organic, nonorganic foods. Plus the food stands are top notch and so very friendly. Yes, the prices might seem high but the quality and variety overshadows. Every time I go to the market I leave with the feeling of "can't wait to go back".. Seasonal foods,... More

My husband was working in California, so being a good wife I had to go spend a week with him. We are from Louisiana so this was a real punishment. Haha. This farmers market was set up about 1 block behind the hotel, but don't walk because the produce is so good that your purchase will be heavy to carry... More
