Wonderful for photographers. Hiking and Biking. Nature at its best. Surround by wildlife. Do be aware of the homeless that are in the hills.

Well Marin has a lot of open space. Thankfully, the planners planned well. Some of my favorites are the trails behind the College of Marin in Novato. The bayshore trails are also great for birding. All depends on the time of year and what you...More

The MCOSD does a wonderful job keeping the public informed about Open Space activities and regulations. The naturalist hikes are excellent and they attract an interesting mix of people who appreciate the outdoor opportunities the county offers.

We visit open space several times a week. Being trail runners, it's nice to have so many trails, and so much public access to undeveloped areas. I tend to take this for granted sometimes. Make no mistake, land isn't as accessible in other areas. Get...More

Hiking trails galore and open to the public. Get a map and go on a hike. The hikes speak for themselves and are dog friendly
