I made an appointment by calling and talking directly with Leon. I scheduled it the next day. I enjoyed the wines and bought a bottle of the Petite Sirah, which was great. This is a very small boutique winery run by a husband and wife team.

This winery is owned by friendly people who produce excellent wine. Moat of the producers in this area produce red wine and Tackitt Family Vineyards is no exception. However, they also produce some white wines that are excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

We loved our visiting to Tackitt Family Vineyards. The wines are excellent and we loved playing with the dogs too. Leon's is such a great person - we didn't get to meet his wife. Maybe next time :)

Looking for boutique, family-owned, super dog-friendly winery! This is a must visit if your in the Paso Robles/San Miguel. A few miles from Downtown, you're surrounded by the beautiful open country and vineyards. The owners, Leon & Cindy Tackitt, are so friendly and welcome you as if you're family being served wine in their home. After visiting them for our first time, we fell in love with their wines (my favorite - Petite Sirah and they have a nice, dry Gewurzztraminer, both grown on their estate, Melange, oooh, love their Zinfandel...basically all of their winesl!) and became wine club members. They had me at "would you like to try our wines". It's been a blast watching them steadily grow but still keep the same family-feel.

TFV is such a great vineyard. The owner Leon and his wife Cindy are incredibly personable and kind. Every time I have spoken with them they have been beyond helpful.
Their wine reflects their personalities. AWESOME.
I haven’t tried a wine yet I don’t like (I stole that phrase from someone else who said it about their wine, but it’s entirely true).
Pair these vintages with food or on their own and they are always bravo zulu. The unique acidity and character of their vineyard can be tasted in their wine. It’s never too strong or too soft or too smooth. Perfect, like a Napa red, but with a bigger set of balls.
The vineyard is beautiful too.

Was most recently here for an EOD fundraiser- What a blast! The winery is set in a beautiful and peaceful location. The wine is great and the people are even better!! The combo of great wine and great people make Tackitt a must stop!! Try the Petit Verdot-you won’t be disappointed. 🍷

I thoroughly enjoyed the wines, but being a Navy retiree myself, it was an honor and real pleasure to chat with the owner. He also has an area in the winery that honors and supports the EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Foundation. I have not enjoyed a wine tasting experience this much ever.

We became members here last year, and make sure that we stop by every time we are in town. Leon & Cindy (the owner/operators) are usually always either in the tasting room, or around somewhere. They are so welcoming and generous. Their wine also serves a great cause, the EOD foundation which Leon was a part of. Make sure you visit on a Saturday for the yummy pizza!

I was fortunate enough to be able to stop at this small, family run vineyard while traveling from San Luis Obispo to Fresno. I made it a point to stop here since I have been in the Navy (both Active and Reserve) since 1988. The wine tasting room is well appointed and very comfortable. I was treated to 5 different varieties of wine, all of which were terrific. I ended up buying a case of wine to have shipped to Michigan, which is where I live. I bought 6 2012 Cabernet, 3 bottles of Syrah (2012) and 3 bottles of Melange (2013). They are all fantastic, but I think my favorite is the Syrah. If you are in the area, stop by and visit this little gem. You will get some great wine and most likely get to visit with one of our nation's heroes.
