It is only 15-20 minutes drive from San Mateo. The parking is easy. The setting is nice. After playing with all the hands on toys, you can walk around the grounds. By the bay side, you can see the planes coming in to SFO one after the other. Kids get a big thrill seeing the planes coming.

Took my toddler here. It's a tiny place and we were done within an hour or so. The kid had fun looking at the birds though. Its good to kill a couple of hours with the kid. The location is nice too.

This is nice mini-zoo in San Mateo and can meet the need to see some animals without having to go all the way to SF or Oakland. Nothing special, just a small place to spend an hour.

A small manageable Zoo with a variety of wild local birds and animals! A great place to visit to entertain and educate children of all ages! They have a couple of eagles that were saved after injuries, and can be seen up close. Other beautiful birds in an outdoor setting around a small pool with turtles. A wonderful tank with... More

My grandchildren do this every summer . I find it to be the best camp around. It's very creative and fun. Children seem to love it! You definitely need to register early or you'll miss out!

Great exhibits for all ages. Keeps the young one interested in learning and doing. Such a wide variety of science educational things. Great animal habitats viewed both inside and out. Children were having a lot of fun!

Great way to spend an afternoon with the kids. If you have a rainy day, head to this place. Alot of hands on science and educational learning for the little ones. Designed for the younger kids, but us adults - we were there right along with them experimenting with everything also!

Lovely place for half a day. Specially the children's hands on science museum. Lots a fun projects to do. My grandchildren loves it. The Zoo looks worn out and all the animals have a tearjerking history which let me think; stop exhibiting them. What is the point of exhibiting local wildlife...which is asleep all day. Stop the Zoo in total... More

CuriOdyssey is a combination hands-on science museum for children and zoo, featuring native CA animals. It is a pleasant place to visit and we have become members. Their real gem, however, is the science classes and camps for kids from preschool through middle school. The educational programming is the BEST in the area. Of course, to get a summer camp... More

We took our 4yr old granddaughter on a Friday morning. She loved all the science center experiments and the animals. The feeding of the river otters was a real treat! Afterwards, she explained to us how fog forms during lunch. Her favorite experiment is the wind column which H encouragea kids to see how different items can float on air.
