Great place to enjoy a picnic lunch, sunset or watch some fireworks. If you have kids that like climbing, there is a fun play area for them to test out their skills and climb all over.

Followed the park signs on a whim. What an amazing view. Talked to a local who had hiked up from Discovery Lake - would love to do that sometime!

Whether you drive up, ride your bicycle up, or walk/run up, the view is worth it. Panoramic 360 degrees. Take a picnic for a sunset.

We live close by so I take my daughter up to look every once in a while. She made a rock altar and played on the small play structure there.

We hike Double Peak from Discovery Lake. It is a very good workout. Recommend going early in morning or late afternoon to avoid the summer heat! If you go in the morning the 360 degree views are amazing. You can almost see forever. But if...More

I believe the park closes at dusk. I would not want to hike after dark there regardless.

No. There is a gate appx 0.5 mile down from the top of the peak which is closed at dusk by city staff. You can park near the gate and walk up to the park and take in the view though. But get ready for some exercise, it's a... More

The trails start at Discovery Lake, which is about 600 feet in elevation. The top of Double Peak is 1600 feet so it's about a 1000 feet of elevation over 2 miles. So round trip is about 4 miles. The trails are well... More
