Nice place to stop by for sunset views. The parking lot fills up quickly around that time so you may want to arrive 20 minutes before sunset.

On a clear day you can see: Mexico and the Channel Islands not to mention Lake San Marcos and the mountains to the East. Spectacular view. Drive up or hike up. Rest awhile or have a box lunch. Well worth the time.
