Very beautiful setting. Love the crisp fresh air. The beautiful nature around us. Saw the water sprot it was neat. Some boats and loved the trees. A little difficult in some areas for walkers and canes. Overall picture is breath taking.
I use it as a running trail but my kids enjoy fishing in the lake. It is a great place for an afternoon walk and the lake trails can be expanded to cover more. Dogs are welcome as well, but please clean up after them....More

This place is behind a community section of San Marcos, CA. You would never know it was there. We love to take our dog walking on the trails. Beautiful playground for the kids, including water falls. Great place for a family get together.

This area of San Diego county has coyotes, rabbits, squirrels and rattlesnakes - among others. Discovery Lake is not a likely place to see any of the scary ones, but surrounding hiking areas will for sure.
