My wife and I visited Edna Valley Vineyard for some wine tasting. This place was amazing to visit. We received great service from Brian. I recommend the Heritage Tasting, which pairs cheese with the wine you are tasting. My wife absolutely loved the cheese. Great way to taste wine. We will be back for sure.

If you, or your guests, want the WOW factor, this is the place to go. Outstanding views in a beautiful, modern tasting room. Outdoor tastings also available. Great wines that you won't find at the grocery store. So why not a '5' rating? I had to talk to 3 different people to try to arrange a table of 8 (3 of whom didn't drink) tasting. Only 6 allowed! Couldn't do it. So we made two separate bookings. When we arrived - no problem. Wasn't busy. They put us all together and we had a good time. Maybe a little too "corporate?" Gallo owns them.
We made it worth their while and bought several bottles in addition to the tastings.

If you go on a perfect day (like we did), I can’t imagine a more idyllic setting. The indoor space is super high class (e.g. the disposable hand towels are monogrammed!), and the seating area near the front door is plush and expertly manicured. The Chardonnay they poured was excellent. They were even dog-friendly. Being under the flight path for SLO County airport actually enhanced the experience. I hope you experience it as enjoyably as I did.

this was a controlled, canned, contrived experience. There is very little wine to sample and it is quite expensive and mediocre. There was no interactiveness from the hostess and no opportunity to discover more about the winery or the wines. it was just a bad experience and quite expensive $83.00,for two, for 5 wines to taste. It is well worth the drive to paso robles to have a real wine tasting experience, or, even up the road to any of the other wineries. I would definitely not recommend.

Our membership there started out good and ended poorly. Staff at the time of sign up was super friendly and helpful. We told them we live over 3 hours away and could only come down twice a year for pickups. They said no problem - they could hold our order one extra quarter (2 quarters total) before they would have to ship. We said great and signed up. 6 months later, we showed up, had a great tasting, picked up our order, and added several more bottles. 3 months after that, we suddenly got an email that if we didn't pick up our order in next few days, they'd ship our order at our expense! Long story short, we went back and forth with them for several days explaining everything. Brenna and Dana refused to honor the original agreement, so we sadly requested cancelation of our membership and refund for the order they wanted to ship. They appeared to intentionally delay their responses in time to get the shipment out and ignore our repeated requests to refund the order. After shipping, Dana responded that they were sorry we couldn't accommodate their pickup schedule. We were really disappointed in Dana's handling of the situation. Refusing to take responsbility for her staff's inconsistent handling of holding orders. Refusing our request to refund the order. Refusing our request for contact with the owner (we always try to give ownership a chance to rectify situations).

Doing the math, if we'd stayed with them another 10 years (which we likely would have), we would have spent at least $18,000 on wine over that time frame, probably a lot more. (We used to buy their wine at the grocery store as well, but that will stop.) Talk about biting your nose off to spite your face!

Quick sidenote, we also had a poor experience with Dana when trying to process a $300+ online order back in November. Their website wasn't working properly, so we spent about 45 minutes trying again and again and asking help from Dana, but she never acknowledged or attempted to fix the website issue. Another money loss for them that she didn't seem to care about.

We have memberships with several other wineries who prioritize us as customers, so we'll be fine. But we're done with Edna Valley. The way this ended, this shoulud be a 1-star review, but the two tastings we did there, the staff was really nice, so we're giving them the extra star.

I've been to many of the wine areas in California but I'd never heard of Edna Valley until I was staying in Pismo Beach and looking for local places to check out. The first impression of the place is quite nice, they have a modern tasting room with beautiful views. We sat outside, which has a great view over the valley as well and is well shaded with a nice lawn. 4 stars for location and ambience.

Our waiter was quite...eccentric. He had a jean jacket and sunglasses on, I felt like I was back in the 80s. He was nice and knowledgeable enough, just not what you would really expect at a winery. Average 3 star service.

The wine itself was the most disappointing part. I had the standard tasting, and there was maybe one wine that I would consider buying a bottle of, but I didn't because it was overpriced for what it was. The Winemaker Series Pinot Noir was the decent one, but I can get better for $45. They have some non-standard 5 wine blends that are novel but not very good. The Sauvignon Blanc was the worst one, with a unpleasant aroma and unbalanced acidity. 2 stars for the wine.

I won't be back, there's other wineries to try in Edna Valley.

Not a nice place to visit. Nice building with good views but the staff is unwelcoming, arrogant and perhaps ignorant. I had a reservation for wine tasting and was refused service upon arrival since my 17 year old daughter was with me. We've been to wineries all over the country, in particular California and many in the San Luis Obispo area and this is a FIRST. In fact, we left Edna and drove to another winery and enjoyed a tasting, with my daughter, and a very pleasant experience. I should have left Edna straight away but there is a wine I like very much that isn't sold in stores so I went ahead and purchased several bottles. At that point, the refused to accept an American Express issued Gift/Travelers check due to "uncertain times". What, do they think Am Ex is going out of business? They set the standard for these long before credit cards were even in widespread use. Again, 2 hours later I was used the check at another SLO business. There are lots of good wineries that actually like visitors/customers in the SLO/Paso Robles area. Choose anyone other than Edna Valley.

My best girl friends and I were looking for a new location to enjoy a weekend away of relaxation. We stayed in Pismo Beach and wanted to go Wine Tasting. We're from the Napa area so have experienced many wineries and wanted to try this in a new area. Many of the reviews were negative, but we did NOT have that experience. We were greeted at the front with a big smile and happy face. We were 10 minutes early, but the gentlemen explained it would be just a minute and shared the current COVID restrictions in place. We were taken to their patio (no indoor tastings) and it was so beautiful - green grassy area and offered shade and sun. Alex was our server and was very kind. He expressed he was SO happy they were open again and he could go back to his "normal" job! You could see his joy. The wines were delicious and super reasonably priced. We did get the Charcuterie/Cheese plate and unfortunately we didn't eat half of it. I'm not sure if the quality has changed since COVID, but it looked old (meat discolored, olives and almonds mushy). I'm not one to join wine clubs, but had this been closer to home I would have (so I could enjoy more of the perks). Also, in their gift shop they had a ton of options and nice offerings. While we visited other wineries, we did not receive the same hospitality and quality. We will definitely visit this winery when we return for our next trip!

We enjoyed stopping by and drinking the wine tasting. It’s a beautiful setting and they allowed our dog in the back. Great service. Wonderful way to SLO it down and enjoy a mild summer afternoon. We did the olive tasting with one olive oil and a small loaf of bread. It was a great way to soak up the wine being consumed.

We live in the area and used to taste at this winery often, we liked their view and the wines are decent, but the service was always so-so. On our last visit, we were treated so horribly that I will never go back again. We came in with some friends about 30 minutes before closing time. About half way through our tasting, the lady took our glasses away and informed us that they were about to close. I was a little shocked, but asked if we could just at least taste their sweet edna wine. She poured us ONE taste of wine, and told us all that we could share it. I have never been to a winery that has treated its guests this rudely, it was totally surprising. I called the manager the following week to inform her of how her staff was treating guests, and she was very nice and apologetic, but we will never go back there. There are far too many other wineries in the area where the staff is very friendly and welcoming!!!!!
