Cal Poly San Luis Obispo campus is a must to visit! Plenty of free parking in the new parking structure. Visit the huge student store for gifts and souvenirs. Our alumni son enjoys stocking up on quality tee-shirts and cute outfits for our four year old granddaughter. It was an educational opportunity to share with our 11 and 5 year... More

Cal Poly is quite the mix, and interested students should definitely check it out to see if they see themselves going here. The whole family can enjoy the luscious vegetation and the peaceful ponds at this campus. There is also quite the mix of architecture, from the semi-tacky seventies-styled science buildings to other buildings with excellent views of the entire... More

It's somewhat puzzling that Cal Poly would be considered a tourism destination, unless you're one of the parents who is contemplating depositing your little unit for four years at one of the most expensive country clubs in lily-white San Luis Obispo. Other than that motivation, there is little to see here. It's a big state university. However there are plenty... More

We went to the campus for my granddaughters graduation and it is a beautiful campus. They also conducted a very organized ceremony.

Walked around campus with friends to show them the campus. It was busy with students and activities in the student center. The campus is very pretty although they keep replacing the green landscape with more dorms and parking structures. It takes away from the college atmosphere and the beautiful scenery. I still feel it is one of the best colleges... More

This is an amazing school. It's right inside the city limits of San Luis Obispo (SLO), even though it started as a state agricultural school. The tech stuff (Engineering, Science, etc.) came later. It is about 20 minutes drive from the beach (and one of the best beaches in the world, for uniqueness and beauty), Pismo Beach. But it is... More

Cal Poly is a very large and beautiful campus. Our friend is an administrator there and she gave us a tour of the campus. I was amazed to learn how many different programs that Cal Poly offered.

Cal Poly consistently ranks as one of the top polytechnic universities in there nation. Because of its polytechnic focus and "learn by doing" philosophy, there is much to see and experience on campus even as a visitor. The beautiful campus is located just on the edge of San Luis Obispo (a worthy vacation destination in it's own right) nestled against... More

This is a beautiful campus to visit and drive around. We have taken our two sons here many times as we also visit many colleges and universities to get them ready. My husband is a graduate of Cal Poly. If you plan it right you can visit the student union. Worth visiting while school is in session (and even when... More
