Safe Place to Play

Descanso park is a nice place to hang out at and watch the bikers go by. However, there is a lot of parties during the weekends and every once in a while a homeless person around. With that said this park is actually located right behind the police services, so you feel safe while visiting here. The park is horrible, but it is still worth a visit if you have time to waste.

New city park with all the bells and whistles

This is a smaller, shady park with big trees, rest room facilities. an extensive and very nice variety of play equipment, lots of grass, and proximity to the San Juan Creek Trail path and the creek. It is situated just past the Police Department historic structure (which still carries the name "Dance Hall" from its former use).

It's an inviting place to stop and rest, watch trains go by, and take in the beauty of nature.
