Just went for an overnighter. It was only $10 to camp. Had a hard time finding a spot because a lot of day users take up the camp spots. Bathrooms and campsites were clean. The whole place is well maintained. Plenty of trails to ride and courses that my son spent hours riding. The campground was noisy until about midnight... More

The TTC is always hosted in this recreation area, and it is a great facility for this competition. The TTC is not open to the public, but off road truck enthusiasts from the area can volunteer to work at the event, and so enjoy it as well. Although I was there as a spectator and my son was a competitor,... More

We went to Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area on a warm sunny day in June. The park is a superb recreational vehicle park with tracks and trails all over. People from children to experts can find the place that they want to explore next for their level of ability. Its also nice that they are all one way. There... More

We went hiking up in the ORV park. Once you get past the camps with motorcycles and Quads there is a series of trails that take you around the mountain for some spectacular views....and I was a bit surprised that it was quiet...no noise form the cycles. very pretty. A little steep for first timers or novices, but well worth... More

The HOLLISTER Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) is south of HOLLISTER, CA. Hollister is between the SVRA and San Juan Bautista, so don't get a room there. You want to get muddy on your dirt bike or 4X4, this is THE PLACE TO GO. Nearest repair facilities are in... you guessed it, in HOLLISTER. Closest city with stores, restaurants... More

Includes various vehicular obsticle courses to test your skill. Many 4x4 trails. Decent camping. Local OHV Club 'Esprit de Four' gives annual beginning 4x4 driving courses there that are well run.
