Any of the 9 bigger cities in the US has tons of places like this: a cute little walkable part of town with nice cafes and things to do. But if you're stuck in San Jose, this is about as good as it gets. No world-class bookstores to browse, though Hicklebee's has a decent children's selection. No tourist-worthy restaurants, though... Great downtown avenue for strolling, shopping, restaurants, salons, parklets, etc. Charming local style in the center of an eclectic neighborhood with tree lined streets, beautiful homes and small town feel.

This was a spur of the moment trip to downtown Willow Glen with our young girls. We had a great afternoon painting at Petroglyph, checking out Powell's candy shop, and getting a much needed cold brew at Peet's. Parking can be difficult but we found a spot right away at the new structure next to Jamba. I wish we would... More

My kids have just moved into this community. It has all the amenities. They love it already. Close to shops and great attractions plus fab restaurants. Tree-lined streets and good schools.

I love Willow Glen. The streets are beautiful with the houses and trees and the selection of restaurants and small shops is endless. You can find just about any cuisine. And don't forget to check out the bakeries - excellent cakes and cupcakes!!

Delicious crepes that were thin, fresh with a side dish. They offered pasta dishes for children. Great service, nice atmosphere and adorable street.

Since the "Road Diet" (look it up), it is impossible to drive down town WG. Plus with the influx of Small GYMs ("work out studios") the Village feel is kinda going away. BUT stores like Details, Park Place Vintage and myriad of good restaurants still make it a fun destination.

I love to stroll WG, even with my grandson in his stroller. The shops are unique and there are so many places to eat that any craving can be satisfied. I always find something in Whatnots & Doodads, sometimes find a treasure at the Thrift Box, lunch is great at the Boloungerie, and WG branch library has an awesome staff.... More
