Many Choices, Quality Varies

Good place for a large group (10 of us met for lunch before Cavalia). Something for everyone. Quality definitely varies. Arepa & Mas was okay, but neither of us would eat there... read more

It was a cute square but definitely not a Saturday dinner type of place. I could see it being busy with the weekday lunch crowd due to its location downtown. No shopping so not sure why they say that in the reviews. For those who are new to area..it is a large building with many smaller places to dine within... More

Lot of choices but don t expect cheap eats. The farmer s market had cheaper street food and veggies with good eats like Malaysian food (masquerading as Thai food - for the uninitiated 'roti' aka flatbread is as Malaysian as Indian). it has also a mobile beautiful parlour, seasonal fruits Overall,I like San Pedro market square most for its vibrancy,... Good place for a large group (10 of us met for lunch before Cavalia). Something for everyone. Quality definitely varies. Arepa & Mas was okay, but neither of us would eat there again. Three people got pasta from Pasta Fresco, and no one liked it. Surprisingly, Bray Butcher Block had beautiful and delicious salads. Some of the food providers will... More

Spent 4 days in San Jose and spent 3 nights at San Pedro Square Market. There were lots of great places to eat and drink. I was even able to have Pliny the Elder (one of the best IPAs) at the San Pedro Beer Market on two of the visits. Go and have fun at San Pedro Market Square!

This is a great place with a wide range of really outstanding food options as well as bars - indoor and outdoor seating and frequent live music.

Good food, at least several lunch and desserts options to choose from: Ribs, hamburgers, Italian, sushi, crepes, pizza, Colombian, mexican, and so on. Excellent for large groups.

We visited on Saturday evening, the place was packed and two sets of love bands were playing . The place was buzzing. The best thing about the market is that there are many food stalls and the choice is varied , each of our ground chose a different food to eat, many beverage and desert options are there Not too... My husband and I were in town visiting and wanted something sweet. We found Chocatoo and decided to try it out. The market as a whole is really cool. It's not anything as large as Pike Place Market in Seattle, but it has a similar vibe. There were lots of food options and places to hang out while you eat.... More

Walking around downtown we wandered by in a Sunday afternoon- ate amazing street tacos & enjoyed the variety of people & tricked upped bicycles- I went back again Friday around noon & enjoyed the farmers market with its colorful & delicious fresh fruits & veggies. No trick bikes but local crafts- I bought this unique silver/ leather bracelet & unique... More
