I've been here some years ago when the style was definite speakeasy with very authentic throughout starting from the doorman and the big muscle bouncers that we're the first ones you ran into when reaching downstairs. Still worth 4 stars although this was earlier 5 star experience. Bartenders are still top notch and tuning the drinks to the customer taste.... More

Great and best speak easy in the bay area hands down. The place is awesome all the way from the "single" barrel in front of the bar to the 50's style decor and attire in the inside. They make some of the best drinks I've had but they do come at a premium cost. The line can get long so... More

Been around the world and I still rant and rave about this place and would recommend it to anyone. The service is unique and you feel as if you have a personal bartender, that knows your taste buds inside and out. They don't pack the place and it is laid back and chill. Because of that there is usually a... More

It is indeed a different experience. The line, although long, did not take more than 30 minutes. When you enter, they explain you a few rules of the place and direct you to a barman that you prepare a drink based on your tastes (he will ask you). The place is cozy, the music was really nice (jazz almost all... More

I have never experienced a bar quite like this. A true experience. Handmade, unique cocktails, friendly employees; quiet, dark ambiance. Unfortunately it can be a long wait, which is what makes it a select venue for an evening of cocktails, definitely not a divebar...

I have gone three times with a couple that frequents the place. By the way I gave a two star cause of girl bartender. My fourth visit I decided to take my girlfriend which came to visit me with her friends from Mexico. I thought it would be a nice idea to take them to place like this and REGRET... More

I came to SingleBarrel with three friends expecting that I would have a drink, enjoy some conversation and then move on. Immediately we were placed in a line to get in. The doorman read us the rules (turn your cell phones to vibrate, keep the noise level down, and never come with more than 6 people). Next he talks into... More

My co-worker and I stopped here after a presentation. They have a nice man standing at the door who quietly explains the rules. A short walk down the stairs takes you to the bar where the nice bartenders try to find a neat old-style drink for you. They were entertaining, kind and we had a blast. I encourage you to... More
