The Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph in San Jose, California is worth seeing. It was restored and modernized a while back, but retains great stained glass windows and statues of more than 100 years ago.

Nice church. Still has masses going. We went to the gift shop they had some really nice things. Got a pretty magnet with the church on it and my daughter a pretty rosary. We weren't able to really walk around and take pics inside it was Sunday and church was going on

I was surprised to find such a beautiful cathedral in a modern city like San Jose. The area around is very modern and the cathedral seems to blend the modern and classic design. The inside is beautiful as well.

Went here during Ash Wednesday and was surprised to see a good amount of people. The church itself is beautiful, has a nice centered setup and has all the motifs you'd expect from a cathedral.

We visited the Basilica around noon on a Saturday when preparations for a wedding were taking place. Nonetheless, we had an opportunity to appreciate the beautiful stained glass and statuary. The stained glass windows above the altar are modern and particularly appealing, but all of the glass is magnificent. The sanctuary itself, topped by a gorgeous dome, has a feeling... More

Beautiful church. The remodel is breath taking. It is a long hike up the ramp if you are pushing someone in a wheelchair. The nearest parking lot is about a block and a half away and the busy street makes it hard to let your person out and then go park.

This is a beautiful basilica. The seats are not single long pews but actually wooden chairs placed together to look like a pew. The gift shop next door has some unique religious items.

Every Catholic gets to go here. Its a Cathedral. It is in downtown San Jose and its open everyday. I went to attend the Fiesta and have my Blessed Sto Nino attend it too. The only problem is parking but it is accessible to public transport.

The church is beautiful and right next door to the SJ Museum of Art and very close to the Tech and Discovery Museums. At Christmas St. Joseph sponsors something called the 12 days of Christmas and local performance groups come at 7 pm for an hour performance. It's lovely to sit in the 150 year old church and listen to... More
